Well, I have just cleared my 1.6 million SP, so I am not training at normal speed. I know I want to train now to improve the effectiveness of my drones for killing faster in missions, but I am not really sure what path I should take.

I am currently flying a myrmidon doing level 3 missions primarily. I have Drones 5, scout drone 3, combat drone 3, heavy drone 1, drone interfacing 3, durability 3, sharpshooting 3.

I was thinking of training scout drone 5 and go for T2 drones. But would I be better off to train up my Battle Cruiser skill, my combat drone skill, and my drone interfacing first?

What would be a good path for me?

At what level is your battlecruiser skill atm?

Have you completed training your learning skills to at least lvl IV yet?

Everyone has a different viewpoint, but I'd suggest the learning skills to 4, the +20% drone dmg skill to 4, ship and gun skill to 4.

Per your request of Drones improvement I would do the following:

Scout Drone operation to V
Drone Interfacing IV
Combat Drone Operation IV
Drone Durability IV
Drone Sharpshooting IV
Race Drone Specializations IV (this enables T2 drones)
Sentry Drone Interfacing V
Heavy Drone V
Drone Navigation IV
Drone Interfacing V

At this point you can start working on the support skills to V, but you will have all T2 drones. You will have 128% damage increase on small and Medium drones and 108% damage increase for Heavies (and maybe Sentries, if Drone Interfacing applies to them).

You will be dedicating at least 70-90 days though as the Heavy and Sentry Drone V skills take approx 20-30 days of training depending on your learning skills, attributes, and implants.

During this time I would farm 3's to get your standings up to be able to do any lvl 4 for the corp (or two if you can). After that focus on Tank skills then Gunnery.

Interfacing has to be at 5, 4 does not cut it. If you ever plan on using drones, especially if you're flying gallente drone boats, get Interfacing to 5.

Combat Drone op to 5 should be next.

Durability I personally still have at 3. Extra health is nice, but in missions you should either be getting all the aggro first, or paying attention and pulling them in as soon as they start to take damage.

Sharpshooting to 4 at least, 5 is good but can wait. You need this for Sentry Drones, which you definitely want for level 4's.

Racial drone specialization I would say pick one and go with that, this adds even more damage to your mediums and lights. Since tech 2 heavies and sentries don't require the skill, I can't say whether this skill affects them or not.

Scout Drone Op and Electronic Warfare interfacing both add control range, get the first to 5 and the second to at least 3 or 4.

Heavy drones I would say train last, but when you do, get them to 5. Some level 4 battleships like to orbit close, and heavy drones will eat them even faster than sentries.

Navigation is like Durability, it's nice but not a priority. Bring it to 3 or 4, and you'll be happy.

Cabo, I don't get your damage % increases...

You say 128% for medium and light, and 108 for heavies and sentries.

Do remember, both heavy drone operation and sentry drone operation give 5% damage per level, so technically, with what you've listed, it'll be:

Light/Medium: 128%
Heavy/Sentry: 133%

If Combat Drone Operation 5, it would be 133% for all drone-types except Fighters.

Combat Drone Op doesn't affect heavies and sentries.
Racial Specs do not affect sentries.
No skills, except fighter skill, affect the fighters.

I was pulling the figures from memory at the time and it apparently didn't serve me very wellugh

None the less Drones can receive over 100% damage increase and for a gallente drone boat user, should be done ASAP.

You will never regret training for T2 drones. Outside of non-Gallente frigs, practically every ship in the game uses them.
