it's funny how dumb americans can be sometimes. "in the u s of a the law is like this, why is it not like this anywhere else in the world (or vidja games)? we rule everything and everybody should be like us. now let's go raid the middle east yeehaw!"

Look at you...a ****** that does not understand that the american stated quite clearly that this may not be the case in your country. But most of the rest of the world hopes that your country will be able to catch up in the comprehension field soon. You need some help. (Why all the rage against Americans......Are you jealous? If so of what?)

Actually having been born and raised in Europe and lived my entire adult live in the US..... yeah the actual comment has merits. The average American is just like the original poster: uneducated, arrogant, and truly re-tarded. Sorry to say this, and I do apologize to the rest of the world for his views.

On a side note, go read the actual laws on 'hitting someone's car you spaz, and you might discover you hitting the other guys car in RL does not entitle you to what is in the car in RL.

Good god, some people have truly shallow gene pools.

pssssst... your pompus attitude is showing. I've lived in the US my whole life, and I wouldn't dare act like I've met the majority of the people living in the U.S.

edit: Oh, I guess ****** is censored. Oh well, don't bypass the filter by trying to say he's tarded again (whatever that means).

Dawts, cute reply, but then again being inside the box doesn't help when trying to analyze the issues of the box.

Honestly, people in the US do act like the OP. ALOT. Currently most American's barely pass literature and math skills, according to our own US statistics. Even our oh so new president admits we pretty much suck in competition with the rest of the world and are falling behind.
Guess why: its because we have become a bunch of arrogant little pricks.
Hell people are even going abroad now to find the land of opportunity when it comes to work.

But you must have missed those news in your parent's basement and avoiding actual news and discussions.

Again with the name calling. Are you trying to prove you're smarter, or more mature than the average american?

Yeahhhhhh that is why we keep importing high end labor to the US. You are right.....
And what does reading help when the average American reads less than 1 book a year? (US Census again).

On topic, the rules off CCP don't have to conform to real life rules or moral standards. The game is written in the way they want it to work. You derailing the thread to try and prove that the average american is a moron doesn't add anything to this topic. You're trying to use a sterotype to prove whatever arguement you have.

I consider myself an average american, and I've been able to hold an even level discussion with you, does that mean that you're intelligence is equal to the very american that you're trying to describe?

edit: also, I'm done ****ting up this troll post anyway. I won't be posting here again and bumping this garbage.

Simple, Eve is not real life, and CCP think of ninja salvaging as a profession.

It's not unlike scamming (also illegal in RL, think of ole Bernie) or deccing and killing (I bribe the police so I can kill you -_-) or 0.0 (I go to this special zone where the police turn a blind eye on me).

Simple solution, add a "wrecks & loot" to the new player experience, so they all -know- how it works.

Problem solved.

Seriously, this isn't exactly the place to discuss the merits of the U.S. education system.

The entire reason for this topic is to cause just the sort of response it has generated. It does not belong in C&P. At best it could go into Features and Ideas. As it's explicitly addressed to the Devs and CCP, it should be removed from the forums all together.

Also, go back to WoW. Maybe one day you'll graduate to Hello Kitty Online, but Eve is obviously beyond you

Never played WOW....Don't intend to. As the usual rifraf you add nothing. Go back to preschool.

The reason it was addressed to devs/CCP is because of simpletons like yourself that just feel the need to throw 2 cents in. It does discuss crime so yes....it does belong here.
Everyone knows(Even the lower end intelligence of the bottom of the barrel American.) that 2 cents isn't worth a crap. And that is all you have to offer.

As far as what this article is for is to build a respectably worded theory for myself and others that may or may not understand the idiocracy associated with salvage and looting and the difference of the two in CCP's eyes. If you had seen the first post you would know that the one that is up there now has evolved quite a bit.

Here is your 2 cents back....I hope you find someone that needs it.

The easiest way to resolve this is to disable salvaging in highsec. Or to make salvaging any ship a criminal offence, giving you a GCC.

Desecrating a war grave is bad. Sad

Only if anything bigger than a frigate is prohibited from mining in 0.9-1.0 sec, since those industrials make it pretty hard for the noobies to get into the mining, especially during the last few hours before downtime. The increase in roidsize and -spawn was only fixing the symptom, not the disease.
Same thing applies to more things in EVE, like lvl4 missions. Experienced players still have too much to do in high sec, there's still too much to gain in high sec for them, and they can have too much power in high sec. Moving on to lower sec should be much more rewarding. Replace the highsec resource requirements of some builds with some lowsec resource requirements, and see the move to lowsec to accomodate for the request for those resources. Trit should not be a material resource for making anything bigger than a cruiser for example. Want to make a battlecruiser? It should exclusively require materials found in 0.6 sec or lower. A carrier? Need exclusively 0.4 sec or lower materials for those!

So, the interest for going to lowsec should be raised, and by a lot even. Enough to even make newbies wonder if they should go mine for rare ores there, instead of doing the overvalued Veldspar that is actually useful for themselves as well.

What about the rest of us? I pretty much only run missions and I am not sure of the benefit of what you are suggesting. Plus the ninja/theif/high sec pirates want more things to flag them from the sounds of it... why give the bastards what they want?

If CCP were to come to you and they were taking your suggestion seriously they are either going to try to figure out how this would make the game a better game or ask you how it would make the game better. Can you enlighten the rest of us? Ignore the ninja scum, I am a victim of ninjas like you and I still don't understand.

Before you start to post here....
1. This is not an issue about shooting someone. There are already laws about that in the game.Smile
2. Don't twist my words on the subject. It only makes you look like you just can't comprehend.Smile
3. I don't have time to read every article that has been posted before me. (Think of it as the "Dipping Mr. Winky" principle of things.)Confused
4. I am asking for someone from CCP to validate. If you aren't from CCP....I don't care what you have to say.Neutral
5. If you are looking for carebear tears for your boyfriend to use as lube to ram you I suggest you walk away from your computer and go the the pharmacy and pick up some K-Y. It doesn't dry out as fast and it makes you appear less of a pee-pee puffing faq.Laughing

I don't know about the rest of the world but here in the United States if I wreck someone else' car I have to pay the full price of that car and own it in it's entirety. NOT just the CD changer(read as loot within the cargo). If someone goes to that car and takes the electrical system(read as equal to salvage.) I have legal avenues to follow for recourse. If someone goes to that car and takes the CD changer(read as loot in the cargo.) I have legal avenues to follow for recourse. The CD-changer and the wreck are considered to be all the same ownership. Nobody can run up and just load my wreck up on their rig and drive away with it. From a legal standpoint any item taken from that wreck(Including an Alloyed Tritanium Bar)would be an act of theft.(Is this different in the rest of the world? Comments?)

Wrecks are color coded. They are color coded to show ownership. This goes for wrecks that have things within the cargo and those that do not. If there was no ownership of a wreck then there would not be a need for color coding.(There is a warning message about theft of loot so the concept that it is a different color to protect people from accidently taking something is moot, bogus and weak at best.)

Why is it that in Eve I only own the CD changer? What if I own a salvaging company and what they are taking is how I make my living?(Read as I pay for an alt that does nothing BUT salvage behind me in missions that are done for my corp. My corp uses that salvage to make things and sell them thus thiefs are taking money from my corp. Maybe I shouldn't give CCP any money?)

Can someone from CCP actually vallidate this ignorance for meQuestion

What I get from the conversations here so far.
1. Wrecks are color coded to show ownership.Shocked
2. You can not use a tractor on wrecks that do not belong to you thus showing ownership of your wrecks. But this ownership is not ownership of the wrecks themselves. It only shows a halfassed ownership to make you think that you own them and have rights to them. You DO still own the air inside the wreck though as nobody can take that from you.Rolling Eyes
3. The game bases the salvage rules on oceanic salvaging rules except the finder may not touch anything inside the wreck.....only the outer pieces.(Don't blame me....this is someone else' halfassed explanation)ugh
4. The Devs can't be bothered to develope anything. It just simply is not their job to create change or maintain the game in a good functional manor that is logical and forward.Crying or Very sad
5. The parts that you can take from of a wreck to make rigs for your ship are perfectly fine to take. The componets that you could take from a wreck to attache to your ship are NOT ok to take. This is perfectly logical to CCP but nobody else.Confused

You are correct sir.....Only a little girl would need "Carebear tears" for lube.(Read as self proclaimed high-sec "pirates".) "Good call" to you I say.

To those that think I created this topic to be a troll.....you are incorrect. This is my first post(And judging by the ignorance that is the majority of post to it(Majority....not the only kind)there probably won't be another. I need to find a forum with adults.) As I stated before, "The OP changes the more I learn here to reflect the true reasoning behind it all." Unfortunately most people don't offer anything but "Carebear tears" and "**** americans" or the famous "Post somewhere else....I don't want to read this"(Honestly the most ignorant of their own personal choices as they do continue to make them by reading things they don't want to readugh.)

Anyway....Continue to post if you have something worth reading and is logical to the way things are or should be.
