Hi,

I'm currently sitting at around 4.7 mill sp. I have mechanic, electronics, engineering 5, advanced weapon upgrades 3, full t2 shield tanking skills and the supports to 3-4, all missile skills to 3-4, all basic drone skills to 3 and my learnings to 4 including advanced.

I am having trouble deciding which direction to go with the game as a whole. The above character was planned to train upto caldari battleships as a source of income and then cross train probably minmatar for sub battleship roaming pvp.

The way i see it I can either continue with the above plan or take advantage of the power of two and set two characters up on seperate paths. With the power of two I have two possible options:

1. Keep my current character on the mission runner path, train him for cov-ops and cloaky transport ships and some trade skills to make him the ultimate isk making character and decent support for the pvper then use the power of two to create an amarr or minmatar specialised pure pvp character.

2. Change my skilling on the current character to focus on cross training minmatar or amarr (given that hes got all the support skills/ fitting skills ready) and then use the power of two to create a trade/industry character that will train for a freighter/hulk/orca and will handle the isk grind.

So thats three options basically, keep one character, make a pvp character on power of two or make an industry character.

Please help, I can't decide alone!

If you don't mind paying the extra, using two accounts: one for missioning/logistics/command ship support and the other for brawling PVP style tends to work well.

However if you think cash may be an issue later on, stick with one I guess. I only use one account to make cash and PVP and I have no issues.

I would say go for it. It gives you a lot more options when it comes to this game. Like you said, you can keep one as your money maker, allowing your other character to focus on PVP. If for whatever reason you don't wish to run two accounts down the road... you can sell one of the two. That being said, as far as Who to train for What.. I would get another account, and begin to train the New Character up to be the money maker. Then I would cross-train up my main to be more versitile. It does not take that long to get a character into a position to make money. And until your new character is trained up to run missions and what not, you can use your main to continue to make money. Just my two cents.

Do this, you won't regret it.

Especially when starting out, specialization and a specific race/direction/objective for your skillpoints makes for much faster advancement in regards to what you can fly, how well you can fly it, and how proficient you can be at various aspects of the game.

A character skilled for caldari battleships, transports, covops, and freighter makes for a superb support character.

Having a support character is incredibly handy; suddenly you don't need to worry about security status on your PvP character, you don't need to rely on others to handle all of your logistics, and you have access to a steady source of income should you need it or feel the need to burn some missions.

I would not crosstrain your current character at this point. May as well continue to go Caldari with it. Once you decide to use it as a support character, it is also worth it to train Cybernetics 5 for a +5 set.

Training a Minmatar sub-battleship PvP character is fast and easy. You can have a fresh character flying a T2 Rifter in no time.

Im trying to decide if I should go for the power of two offer as well.

Im new to the game, my main is a caldari, mining focused with some mission running skills, though I dont mission run with him too much. Im a few days away from getting a hulk and Ive been using a friends account (he played for a few weeks and gave up) as a hualer for my main. That account is about to expire so I figure I'll take advantage of the offer and start a new Alt.

Obviously Im going to use him as a hualer, but after that Im not sure what path I should take. Should I focus him on mission running skills, maybe even PVP eventually? I know race doesnt really matter so much but Im not sure if I should go Gallente/Amarr or ???

Any suggestions on what path/race would be good for an Alt to accompany my Caldari miner?

Edit: Sorry, dont mean to HJ but its the same question, all adice is relevant.
