Whats up with those ladar sites ? They are damn hard to scan (hard as a 10/10 plex or a large mercoxit site), but all i get from them (did 3 of them yet) are some useless comodities like 101 pillaging and some other "handbooks". They are very hard to scan down and prety well defended but you get nothing out of them ?? Is this a bug or just a flaw design ?

i think you have a farmer's bug in your head.

Some items in right hands become pretty valuable.

For those of us who likes to dabble with booster production those sites have particular interest. But if you have no interest in using reactions and BPCs yourself there is little profit to gain from these kind of sites besides occasionally finding the Nanite Control skillbook.

No, there is nothing wrong with those sites there just aren't many people interested in making boosters and certainly not in buying the reations and BPCs horrendously overpriced.

In the regard to the "odd" commodities you also will find at these sites, they have no usage. You just get them instead of getting an empty container. Personally I find that good as I hate empty containers, but some oddballs seems to disagree.

Around the Corner: Meet the Pushers

With the arrival of Apocrypha, players will be able to scan down new exploration sites focused on the pirate factions' underground war. Inside these new booster sites, you'll find both new things and more ways to acquire old things. More specifically, they will serve as a source of booster blueprints and reactions, which can be hacked from containers within. This time around, however, booster blueprints and reactions can also be looted from the guardians of these new areas. Enter the new drug pusher gangs.

In what military experts are calling a "hustle," the Guristas, Sansha, Blooders, Angels and Serps have all started moving in on the Empires, trying to push their wares. Each organization has its own reason for doing so, and this is part of the story that's sitting out there, waiting for you to discover.

Each pirate faction has entrusted this task to their most reliable and ruthless captains, who in turn have recruited their own lieutenants. This means new, unique NPCs - a gang of three for each booster type. These guys have their own stories too, and in addition to dropping booster materials, they will occasionally drop a unique item exclusive to them. These items don't have any practical value, but are just cool in and of themselves.

*snipped some*

In Summary

Some numbers and additional information to sum all of this up:

* 16 new booster sites: Two for each type of booster; a lowsec and a nullsec variant. Lieutenants can be found at lowsec sites, captains can be found out in 0.0 space.

<shameless threadjack>

CCP dropbear i have completed some of the new content regarding boosters in some of the 0.0 regions. i actually enjoyed them. there is just one problem

the entire booster market is FUBARed because of the illegality in highsec, and to a lesser extent the prohibitive cost of the booster skills

me and most of my corpmates are based out of wormholes, and we are desperately in need of standard crash boosters at any point in time(woot stealth bomber gangs!) but we can never get our fix because no one in lowsec sells them and we cant haul them out of highsec. the only way we are able to come across these is from a special order to dedicated booster producers. nd the logistics are a nightmare

but all in all i know alot of people who would love to use boosters but are unable to do so due to the limit on movement within all of the trade hubs.

maybe allowing transport in highsec, but prohibiting use within highsec (standing loss, fine. maybe faction police come after you in some severe cases)

i really like the booster content and allowing more people to experience it is a good thing

Drugs are illegal and should never be allowed in high sec. they are drugs.

its amazing how they got into high sec in the first place. there is a steady supply of drugs on the market in the market hubs. if people can get them in, then you can be sure they can be taken out. alternativly you could just take the drug before you go.

nothing like making it hard for drug smugglers :/

your saying its ok to haul them but not ok to take them ? theres absolutly no logic in that. you say they are limiting in the hubs but you want to get them from the hub and use them ? sounds like you have an ulterior motitve here.

there is nothing stopping everyone from becomming a user. biology has minimal requirements and neuro toxin recovery is more than afordable. what is weird however; is that neurotoxin has a high availability but its pre requisit is incredibly rare (ergo expensive)

PERSONALLY of the most anoying things about boosters is its restriction of the gas harvesting to the specific 0.0 constelations. which only serves those who "own" those regions. what may have been better is for the ladar sites to be more universe wide and create more of a global market for the gas rather than the specific constelation restrictions.

im not sure on the low sec sites as ive never heard of anyone actually harvesting from them or even finding low sec ladars :/

<shameless idea bumpage>
id also look to reshuffle the booster slot layout as the current design makes no sense and suffers (imho) from an inballance.
<shamless idea bumpage>

the current price of the boosters reflect the level of difficulty of their logistical and production chain which is insane for the higher benefit boosters.

in any case you should check out "synth" boosters as they are legal in highsec and can be transported and consumed without penalty.

im saying that yes boosters need to be 'illegal' and difficult to obtain, bu not impossible like they are currently. the only way those people are getting their supplies into jita is by logging on right after downtime and jumping it in before any customs NPCs have spawned. any other time you are SOL for moving boosters. the customs mechanics as they are are arcane relics from 2003 anyways. they really need a overhaul, but thats going on a different tangent

no ulterior motives here, i just want a supply of boosters for all my pilots Rolling Eyes

That is not quite correct, I think. There is several ways to move boosters either 100% safe or very very safe way (if you prefer cheap ride). As far as customs go - they have to scan you same way as everyone else as far as I'm aware.

So do like everyone else. Orca corp hangar or small fast frig (or cov ops or blocade runner or recon cruiser). It's actually easier to get em out as in addition to abovementioned things you can use either black ops or jump freighter to jump em out to low sec directly.

1. take your ass out of jita . .[no offence intended]
there is more than 1 trade hub and there market and booster availability is pretty ok. the suppliers would get better sales with better placement (mission hubs) 0.0 entry points etc but thats player drivena dna cannot be helped

2. they arent using that and tbh it would be considered an exploit. cusotms officers are not at every gate and there was a skill thats no longer seeded that helped with running goods past them. i had an alt with this skill when it was "broken" and successfully ran slaves through empire in a full mammoth afk multiple jumps. the Black Market Trader skill is most likely aid in them.

3. the detection rate isnt 100% afaik. but yes i would agree with you that the customs mechanics need work and i would certainly go so far as a very special ship and even a special cargo container to reduce/eliminate detection or even a skill or something whee customs could take a bribe when your detected and your skill level and other items (can/ship) would determine the "bribe" it need alot of thought and id support any of ideas i mentioned as well as others that may apear.

Can you move them in covops or blockade runners by chance?

Wow, you are certainly out of the loop. Since Apocrypha (that is two patches ago) the amount of ladar sites in all sec levels have been dramatically increased and gas sites are now spawning everywhere. Sites of mykoserocin (for synth boosters) can be found in high sec and sites of cytoserocin can be found in low sec. Though some areas have a higher chance of finding gas than others it is not difficult at all to track down a certain type if you so desire.

Btw. I harvest from the low sec sites and I harvest a lot.

i live in a class 5 wormhole, is that far enough?

but seriously, where is a trade hub in lowsec that sells boosters?

black market trading is a skill that you are unable to obtain unless you started with a specific build 3 years ago. and yes custom NPC spawn greadually over time starting with 0 at downtime.
