This means basically, that the sql server could not startup. You can try to configure the program in this way. I hope it helps. |

Finally got everything updated to 1.3.1.2 and running smoothly!
I have 1 bug that really impairs operation for me still:
If I have Emma minimized to the tray and an update occurs that causes a new order alert to be generated the program will spawn an endless chain of Unacknowledged Orders windows on top of each other. It's possible to close them all with several hundred mouse clicks, or by restarting Emma.
This happens consistently with Emma minimized and really keeps me from just leaving all my guys updating all the time.

I've had people reporting this bug for about a year but have never been able to reproduce it myself. There is actually code in there specifically to stop this from happening and yet some people still seem to get it... Don't know for sure if I've tried it when minimized before though so perhaps that's the key. I shall investigate. To the other two posters with issues above, I'm afraid I don't really have any specific suggestions. It looks like some sort of permissions/setups issue with your machine or connection. |

I've modified the unacknowledged orders display code to work a little differently. Hopefully this will correct the issue you're getting. Let me know how it goes. |

The issue is, if you have a contraband entry, then the income statement drops an exception.

1.3.1.4 beta is now available

For those interested, it was caused by the 'contraband fine' description returned from the API having a space character at the end. The reporting function that added the row to the report would leave this extra space in but the function that tried to add the value into the row would strip it out, causing it to fail to find the row. |

Glad to hear it's working now. :)
VI, if you still have trouble getting the files then go into the settings -> other settings (I think) and remove eve-files from the list of update locations. (just select it and hit the delete key)
This should leave you with the starfire update location and will hopefully resolve your problems. |

Something what you try to do is contacting eve-metrics and it gets a 404 error message. I doubt that anything can be done about it. |

The program is not showing the unacknowledged orders until you restart the program: So. I startup the program, get my orders from the API, it doesn't pop up that something is finished. I close the program, open it again, and then I get the screen, that I have X order finished. /Version: 1.3.1.4/ |

There is a problem with the way assets are reported in both the assets and NAV reports.
It doesen't distinguish between BPCs and BPOs, So if you are doing invention and therefore have many BPCs your assets are way off as all the BPCs are given the value of a full BPO.
Would this be something that could be easily fixed?

It doesen't distinguish between BPCs and BPOs, So if you are doing invention and therefore have many BPCs your assets are way off as all the BPCs are given the value of a full BPO.
Would this be something that could be easily fixed?

This is down to an issue with the API in that it does not distinguish between BPOs/BPCs and certainly won't give you ME/PE values. At one time I was thinking of adding a section to allow you to add this information manually but it would be fairly involved and I never got around to it. |

Hi y'all,
I'm completely new to EMMA, and I've tried to install it for a little while now, but with no success.
Info on my OS:
Windows Vista Ultimate, SP2, 32-bit, French version but with English interface
Running on an administrator account
Here's what's happened so far:
1- I download the first installer I find (v1.3.0.3) and run the setup.exe
2- SQL server 2005 autoinstalls, and I get a prompt telling me about Vista compatibility issues. Before continuing the installation, I update SQL 2005 to SP3.
3- I resume the installation on EMMA proper
4- I attempt to run EMMA, and get a complete remote access failiure (no API, no EVE-CENTRAL, no nothing).
5- The EMMA client window opens and asks me a bunch of stuff about account info. Annoyed at the failiures mentionned on point 4, I simply close everything, retry the EMMA setup executable, and try "repair".
6- I run EMMA, and still get the connectivity errors, and this time it's followed by a database error that crashes the whole process.
7- I uninstall EMMA and reinstall it. No change.
8- I uninstall both EMMA and SQL 2005. I then install SQL 2008 SP1 and reinstall EMMA. Now EMMA complains that it can't interface with the database. It doesn't even make it to the connexion errors.
9- I then find this thread and download the v1.3.1.0 installer. I uninstall the previous version of EMMA and install v1.3.1.0.
10- I run EMMA, and this time the process crashed immediately. I get the "EMMA has stopped working, windows is searching for a solution" window.
11- I attempt a "repair" of EMMA: No change
12- I attempt a reinstallation of EMMA: No change
13- I scour the latest EMMA thread, the google code page, and the google discussion forums and find nothing that helps.
14- I give up and post here.
Based on what I've written, can anybody give me any indication of what's wrong and what I can do to fix it?

Would you consider an option to filter out items from being calculated in assets the assets window, similar to how the auto-contractor exclude item works? |

I've had trouble getting EMMA running under Windows 7 and now that I actually have the environment, I'll start looking into what changes are needed to get it working correctly. It's unlikely to be fixed an time soon though. Originally by: Brim Stargazer

That would be possible but I'm not doing any new development right now. |
