Ok.

I was watching Alliance tournaments closely from AT3.

And i noticed always same problems with commentators.

You guys are chatty and very good with saying what ships each side have.

What i would like to see more is this:

Focus on Players who fly ships as well. It is nice to hear what ship each player flies and how is it going down or tanking. But add in Name of player whos piloting it. There will be lot of well known ppl who fly stuff on this AT and you can have plenty of stuff to talk about. So pls talk about it.

Atm commentaries are like this:

Welcome bla bla. XY team is fielding XYZC ships and team YX is fielding HKTR CZYX ships. And match is a go. Kitsune for XY team is going down and its down. Curse of YX team is taking damage and is in armor and managing to hold on its own. Another Kitsune is down and they are now on to Raven. Curse is finally down etc etc.

What commentaries should look like is:

Welcome bla bla. XY team is fielding XY ships and team YX is fielding YX ships. And match is a go and Kitsune of XY team piloted by XY is under attack and it is going down as it seems even if XY is trying best to avoid it. On other side XY team is focusing on YXs Curse piloted by YXZ. YXZ is team captain of team YX and probably FC and on tranq he is known for bla bla.

So like there is some ppl who you can say few words more about. But simple name of pilot is enough. Not just ship type.

I think i would add much more realistic and exiting feeling to ppl listening radio tunes or EvE TV.

Thanks

This is something I tried to do at times while commentating on previous tournaments.

Unfortunately it's not easy to do so best part of the time given the amount of ridiculous, and unpronounceable names that tend to be given to characters in Eve.

A commentator can take a couple of seconds to pronounce or attempt to pronounce a name and by then the entire battlefield can have changed drastically.

It's a good idea, but it's just not plausible a lot of the time during live commentating because of daft character names.
