It would be nice if CCP creates a specific item 30 day LEARNING BONUS PLEX, that will give a 100% bonus to learning during 30 day time.

This kind of item could be purchased on a site for real money and also sold to players on the market for isk.

I think that this item will be in a high demand within the players, and also it will increase CCP profits at the same time make lot of people happy, especially ones who joined the game not so long ago.

I know, that veterans will be unpleased if the item like that appears (they enjoy to be Gods with their enormous ammounts of SP), but at the same time less people will leave EVE after a trial period, so we will have a constant growth of new players that will stay.

U need 2 years to learn skills to use battleship nicely in PVP. Lot of people get bored before that time (I have lot of examples).

As for me, I would be likely to buy such items myself for my main and alts.

Are you the guy with 6 accounts / 18 characters that keeps posting similar threads about skill purchasing / selling / training for ISK ?

I just have 2 accounts that are about 2 years old and quite happy with them.

As I already said, veterans will be unpleased, cause they enjoy being Gods.
I prefer to listen the oppinions of a new players

Anyway 100% bonus is not much and will not give such a great advantages.

If people complain about isk farmers, then OK (I hate them as much as U do) It will be nice to be bought for real money only and not sold for isk)) Is this make U happy?

Tell U a secret... The main concept of any business is to make money.
Nothing is different here as well.

As a result we will have at least 50% more players after trial period that stay and more than a half of existing players buy such PLEXES for sure.
If we make the price for this plex twice cheaper than standart 30 day pilot licence, it will increase CCP profits at least 25%

Thats why eve is following mainstreem and changed eve into another wow-clone because this is where money is.
Oh wait...

I have to say no, it gives the advantage to the person with loose cash in their pocket or rediculous amounts of time to play the game. Also consider the characters most able to afford this new Plexs would be older characters with extra ISK lying around. It would likely only help foster a skill gap.

Why don't we just make a "Null Space Ready PLEX" ?

And sell it for 100 bucks; think of the profit for CCP there.
someone comes, tries for 14 days with 100% learning "hey i like it"; buys a years worth of SP

why waste the time on buying a skill plex and then learn it if you can just jump to the end?

short answer: no, bad idea

veteran or not, this will not improve the game; it takes away a vital learning process; when you are waiting for a skill to finish, you are probably researching what items you can and cannot use with it, and why some are better than others; and maybe you even realize that you shouldn't be training that particular skill because you won't really use it like you thought.

This is a bad idea because it would become a requirement...for everyone...not just new players...to compete. Everyone, even those 2 year old players you refer to as gods, is working on some new skill to become better in some ship...the problem with this is it wouldn't let anyone catch up...it just make everyone train faster, and probably pay double the current subscription rate to do so...

A better idea if you are looking to fix the imbalance is to make sp scale...the more total you have the slower you learn...this is being done to an extent but could be taken further so that there is a bonus based on whatever the current maximum sp on a character is.

BTW it doesn't take 2 years to pvp in a bs effectively if you are focused it takes about 9 months to a year tops (this means not going into cruisers/frigs/bc and or t2 ships heavily first)

Secondly, this already exists in the form of implants.

I'm a player who hasn't been here 2 years, not even a full year, and you don't need that much time to fly a BS in pvp nicely, you need experience. Knowing that everyone can train everything at near the same rate, aside from their preference in attributes and what they are going for as a whole, makes this game very balanced already. Yes, it can be a drag waiting a month just to get one skill up, but that opens new doors and increases. This was only the next possible complaint once the queue came out, shows that not everyone is truly happy, but don't confuse your inability to play properly during pvp to you needing a faster time to train up other skills.

Yes to this. I would pay for this out of pocket if they wanted. Plex as it is not instituted will only help a few who are relatively poor (tweens, teens, college students, HS Dropouts) and not people who have real jobs and can afford this game. A learning bonus plex would be different, though, I would pay for that in a heartbeat. This is a great idea....

It's unfair and unbalanced all around. Skill comes from playing the game and learning the mechanics, along with time to train up your sp. Letting people buy their increased time would help the macros, anyone with cash to burn, lower the character selling market (greatly overtime), and be completely opposite of what this game is all about and intended for.

It would be no more than in real life you going to a college or university to earn a degree in a subject. You pay then, too.

You pay to play this game too, you have been for sometime, you will keep paying to play it, but fact remains that this is a game where they make things equal for all, not those with extra cash. There could be argument about those buy GTC's, but they can be bought by playing the game alone and as a way to combat macros selling isk.

Its not equal for all. The miners dont have a real chance of making people stop messing with their jetcans. Their ships are completely defenseless vs your typical jetcan booster. New player corps cant defend against a war dec by a larger, more experienced corp, so they end up 1)docking for a week or 2)leaving the corp.

The world isnt equal for all, some people go to Harvard, some people go to Potomic State. Some people have more money than others. If pirates and general a**holes are going to grief me during a mission, why shouldn't I use my far greater real life economic ability to even the playing field in game?

GTC and Plex doesn't matter a whit to me, I can afford to have such pastimes in my life like eve. why should I use my hard earned in game cash to buy something I dont need to because I can afford to pay the subscription fee easily every month? CCP is fooling themselves if they think Plex as now instituted is going to stop or even put a dent in the rmt from selling isk.

BTW, I have not now, nor have I ever bought ISK, but I have been tempted to do so.

Yeah, no, this is pretty stupid. This would be a requirement to play competitively at all, and essentially preferentially treat the irl rich of Eve. Which the plex market tries to do the opposite of, allowing those of us who are irl poor to still play the game.

Miners who fear getting ganked can sacrifice mining yield for some tanking. Heck, if you even think you might be attacked in a system, move to a new area or always be ready for the attack. New corps getting war dec'd can always go to different areas to fly in the chance or hiding. They can always declare defeat and end the war right away or just let it go on and let the other corp waste money not even fighting. There are many options to counter these situations, buying your skills in eve is not one of them. Find ways to improve yourself while suggesting ideas that would help everyone equally and positively as a whle.

"Miners who fear getting ganked can sacrifice mining yield for some tanking."

Lowsec, anything goes, but in hisec, they shouldn't have to be bothered with it...

"New corps getting war dec'd can always go to different areas to fly in the chance or hiding."

Gee, being docked in a station for a week is just so much fun, its an intrical part of the game....There is so much to do there, there are what, 15 whole buttons to click on and everything.....

"They can always declare defeat and end the war right away"

Doesnt always work, the other side doesnt always talk to you.

"or just let it go on and let the other corp waste money not even fighting."

We are back to sitting in station for a week or more until the jerks let it go....So much fun there...

"There are many options to counter these situations, buying your skills"

Nobody has said anything about just buying skills, they have just talked about buying the ability to learn faster, it would be like going to college...

"Find ways to improve yourself"

Which learning faster would do

"while suggesting ideas that would help everyone equally and positively as a whle."

Why, exactly should I give a damn if anything I propose helps anyone else equally and positively? This game seems to thrive on inequity, why should it be limited to just the experienced players side?

We already have this option. All you have to do is buy a character that somebody else has trained. :(

Shouldn't happen, but it does, and it is a legit mechanic, so expect it or take the loss.

Again, you can always move to a different system, check when they are online, check local, scout around with an alt.

Buying a card to increase your skill time is essentially paying to increase your skills despite how you see it.

You don't have to care, but this game isn't about only making you happy but giving an environment and letting you take advantage, thus giving you the upper hand you so desire.

Yes, we do. People with money sometimes dont do this, they prefer to make their char themselves. This item will be just a tool to ppl, to play with own fairly created char, not a bought one. And character selling for isk system is more likely causing rmt to happen. U can see lots of pilots sold in E-bay. Actually this is the main reason CCP is loosing money. Whay not to make the item I suggested?? CCP will make a step in increasing profits at the same time destroying the business of RM traders (just a part of it)

well i been around for a bit now... with 42+mil sp under my belt, i can fly roughly 75% of all ships in eve.. guess i'm in god mode squared... funny doesn't feel like it.

HOWEVER i do happen to have a couple of grand US$ laying around i won't miss, please add your skill time bonus PLEX for 14.99, 29.98 or hell even 100$! when you are happy with gaining a month of training i will be gaining a year or three and will be that much further ahead of you, your friends.
And ccp might as well restrict new eve players to those with AT LEAST a few thousand dollars of discretional spending BECAUSE THEY WILL ****ING NEED IT TO EVEN BE REMOTELY NEAR MY SP!

apart from that, all those people who work hard for little cash and are barely making ends meet and somehow scraping sub money off their dinner table might as well quit... they will never be able to compete and after a few months will be sofar behind the curve they might as well have started new toons before the almighty achura.

NO to your idea!
NO to you!
NO to changing the ONLY thing separating EVE from the rest of MMO's

Edit: WTB GM power-up PLEX in order to banhammer all these "wtb SP with real money"- failures that crop up every week

NO NO and NO.

You are right that the veterans enjoy having advanced characters. But not only them. I don't consider myself a veteran with 3 years of eve but still I am somewhat proud of what I have achieved. I don't want some rich prick buy his way past me.

One of the things that made me join EVE was that when you see someone in a capital ship you know they invested a lot of time and dedication into getting there. Being able to buy yourself to such a level is betrayal of EVE's soul.

Of course it'll be in high demand. RMT services always are but that doesn't mean it's a good thing for the game!

What I like in ppl is their ability to reverse each idea to the state it is becoming so horrible.
I am not talking about super-mega gm plexes or 500% bonus ones.

I am talking just about 100% bonus. It is not much, I assure U. 2 years in 1 is not much. ( it isn't 5 years in 1 lol). It is just a 2* bonus, nothing more, nothing less.

Will the veterans quit EVE lol no and NO)) Nobody will leave their achievements.

Also veterans had a chance of unfair training before for their alts using offline out of service training, which we had here.
At the end of GTC's they started to learn long-range skills (like carriers to 5 or dreads to 5) and continued to learn them even when payed time in EVE is over. They used such technique for every long skill that they have
What efforts are the veterans talking about, when they actually cheated that way?? All new players are in different positions now, don't U think?

I think that after exposing veteran cheating methods in the past, we have less nagative replies here.
