So here we are, camping a gate. Conversation goes to cloaks (we are camping 2 cloaky ships).

Here is the fix for cloaks it hit me like BAM :D

Add a cap recharge -100%
Add a 30 second cycle time
Add cap use per mass

Basis of this is, it should take capacitor to cloak a ship. Bigger the ship, the greater the capacitor need.
Add more cloaks that would have different capacitor needs.

What this does, is gives a penalty for cloaking. Afk cloakers would need to do something to keep from running out of cap and decloaking to a patient group of campers with probes.

Also a bonus to ships who are supposed to fit cloaks would remove the -100% cap recharge and a cap use -100%.

You mean that ie. slower locking + recalibration time is not a negative side of cloaking ?!?!

Seriously, i'm going to wardc next person who will claim that cloaks are "broken".

Yes, cloaking is win! I don't know how many times I have lost to somebody who cannot do anything.

We should fix stations too... No more 30 seconds safety on undock, and have a continual fee to stay docked up. Also, no more docking if you have any agression timer as well.

Docking=win. You said it right, you were camping. So what you are saying is that it is unfair that somebody gave up a high slot to have their ship set to run silent?

I agree there needs to be a fix, but make it a ping module for high sec. you fire a ping, and get an approximate range from you (to a max of say 30km). That would be only fair solution I can see.

Im more or less talking about cloaking macro ratters.

the ones who insta warp and cloak when you enter system.

Ah yeah, the macroes. Well hopefully ccp's unholy fury keeps getting more vengeful and they disappear more. Either way, using the cloak is the only thing that keeps my deadspace battlecruiser alive when those combat scanner probes comes out and right now is the only defence for me. Same when a mining op in a wormhole, how else can we save our orca or miners if a bubble suddenly goes up? Also, once you put in a time limit, then it can mean a pretty fast death if they decide to stick around for an hour. It is one thing to make a suggestion because there is something truely invincible, or near to =win, but another if it is just cause of macroers. If the macro rats is what concerns you, then best to start a thread to brainstorm on ways to end that.

Safespots=win too. It should only be possible to warp to stations, stargates, belts and moons. How dare these people hide in space!

Also we should get rid of shields and armor. If I shoot something it should go poof with the first hit...
