Its just... its just not funny. I mean, they are saying words and there is canned laughter, but nothing is funny. What is funny about that video? Please enlighten me.

Nothing is funny about it, Monty Python is murderously unfunny.

This feels just like the SWG NGE, a massive change in direction not wanted by the main player base.

I think what's most worrying is;

CCP Managed to keep this a secret, for three years. Nobody saw it coming until at least fanfest last year and then the trademarking of the logo. And certainly nobody thought it would then be released as it is. People knew an FPS was incoming, but they didn't know that it would be tied directly into one of eve's most defining game mechanics - sovereignty.

This is becoming a growing trend with CCP, they almost managed to sneak arena's into eve but it was cut out at the last minute because (of all things) The server rejected the code. This was also a massive change in direction for eve since the mere thought of "Arena's" leaves a fowl taste in the mouths of many eve players.

Walking in stations - Another (ultimately, arguably; choose which one you want to use) pointless addition that a fair share of people would rather went into developing eve's more finer characteristics and its more lacking area's (System wide asteroid belts, killing the blob, the list goes on) Oh and a proper fix to sovereignty which keeps, y'know, ingame matters in a single game.

"We don't charge for expansions" But we do charge you for new games which will hold either some, or all, control over the mechanics in EVE itself. Another thing which leaves me thinking what else are they cooking.

Its a growing trend that some people - including myself - do not like.

Yes, except for the part where every person I've talked to about it that isn't bawling their eyes out on the forums complaining about 8 year olds having an Xbox seems to think it's fairly cool. Most are a bit wary, but they seem to think it's pretty nifty.
