Hi guys,

I'm not new the EvE,I have been living in Stain 0.0 almost for a year now, playing Caldari and mostly flying a Nighthawk.
But now, I made a new char, Amarr race. Now that I have the basic skills to do the carebear stuff (ehm... rat :D), I was wondering in what direction I should train. I want that char to be used in solo 0.0 PvP (mostly against pro's... you don't really find noobs at our region) and small gang PvP.
I mean... train for Recons? Train for HAC+CS combo or pimp my Apocalypse? Which is the best ship for the mentioned purposes? ISK is not really a problem.
And one more question: mostly I see pulse lasers in PvP... are they better in every situations and every sizes(except sniping)?

Thanks in advance:

I'm new to EVE but in regards to the Pulse Laser question, from every explaination I've recieved for them they are desired in PvP because a) they have a much faster tracking speed than Beam lasers and b) Scorch Focusing Crystals feature a whooping 50% Range increase, which puts them short of a Beam Laser for range, but far far better for tracking any ship smaller than your own.

for solo pvp IŽd go for a pilgrim or use navy omens
sacrilege is, well, good tank. some use crusaders for solo pvping, but dunno at least I suck with that canŽt get used to it.

for fleet zealot/malediction/curse

all the skills for amarr pvp will take you the better part of a year to train. so, just pick a skill and click train till it's done button. one ship at a time is best. start with zealot or pilgrim.

You are not going to kill "pro" PvPers with a slow laserboat that lacks midslots almost every time.

Vagabonds and Muninns have like 90% base resists to EM/Therm so you can only beat them with other Vagas/Muninns, or maybe missles.

Lasers are for ratting down south, and fleet work.

I've been discovering the hard way that Amarr really do need the skills and therefore take a long time.

Still in the short term the harbinger isn't a bad boat and with 4 mids one of the few that could solo, though once you stick a 1600 plate on it you'll struggle to hold onto targets.

Personally training up my skills in the Arbitrator with the intention of then moving onto the curse and the pilgrim, since they can handle a lot of different situations, though this means drones become your focus rather than lasers.

Since you've got experience in caldari then this'll mean over time you can cross train from Amarr to Gallente and make use of the ishtar as well while cross training to Minmatar from your main.
