Im just wondering if I have this problem or is it a universal problem??
When you have autopilot on and you warp to a gate, it seems to hang for a few secs before actually approaching the gate, kindof annoying. Also when you jump into a system, seems to take a while for it to warp me to a gate, sometimes I can manually warp faster Confused

sometimes yes, mostly due to tiny bits of lag.

I've been getting this for a couple of weeks now.

I actually thought that was intentional. It gives an advantage to pilots, over autopilots.

yes, i get that all the time, figured it was more or less unavoidable lag and "part of the game" so to speak.

Yes, I've being paying attention to this for some time now, and it should be noted that it is faster to manually double click the gate as you come out of warp than to wait for autopilot, only slightly though! It should also be noted that the delay has changed with recent patches, and became slight longer. This is not lag, as doing it manually would not make it faster if it was.

About 3 patches ago, you used to be able to double click your "speed bar" when dropping out of warp for the fastest possible approach, however this was disabled in a patch (it still works other times, but not after dropping out of warp, like it used to).
