Ahhh, this reveals a lot!

I predict "COSMOS", the new forum system that eveonline.com will use, will somehow integrate Avatars United.

You heard it here first folks.

I've modified the dates, as September is for one part of the contest, and August is for the other. Thanks :)

I'll personally come to Iceland and give the $1000 cash to the person of the Dev Team that pushes forward the development of Walking in Stations. We've been waiting for three f****ing years for that one, and what did you give us since then? Better graphics, granted. But that's necessary in the first place. We don't want to be fed with some lame stuff that affects one in 10.000 users, we want something for everyone. Evil or Very Mad

Ah right stuff like continous balancing of the game, alliance tournaments, improved faction warfare, new t3 ships, wormhole space, new sov system ? Those kind of things ?

Granted there are still many things that potentially could be improved/fixed. But complaining about walking in station not being in the game yet and saying there are no improvements in the game is a bit .... meh ...

I have one question:
Is Enemy Unknown participating in the App Contest?

Enemy Unknown is some kind of contest organizer, but he also developed several Eve related apps for Avatars United.

They won't submit any entries to the contest since Enemy Unknown is actually the company behind the community Avatars United... Enemy Unknown = Avatars United Very Happy

We are happy to announce the winner of CCP Games & Avatars United app idea contest.

The CCP and Avatars United jury selected Akima Jarka's application idea "Avatar Enemies"

Brief description:
“EVE is a big place, two people finding each other to do battle may be hard sometimes. Avatar Enemies allows for players to compete against each other without fighting in game.
Avatar Enemies is a mini game where avatars can compete and declare war against each other on Avatars United. In game efforts tracked through the EVE API during the duration of the war, together with multipliers acquired in the application affect the outcome of the war.”

Selecting a winner was not an easy task. Indeed we received a great deal of awesome submissions, thanks to all who participated!

Email eveappcontest [at] avatarsunited.com to get detailed descriptions of it as well as the ideas submitted by the runners-up.

Don’t forget to participate in the “App Development Contest” that continues to September 15th. Read about all the amazing prizes on http://www.avatarsunited.com/eve-app-contest/

I'm writing an killer app each Alliance leader, CEO, Director, or people with the right roles would love.
I'm convinced this would be the killer app. Tough im not sure weather to sign up or not. Since it doesn't meets the rules. It uses the Eve API instead of the Avatars United one.. It also runs on Ruby.
Im near finished with the consept and one initial version, should i still submit?

EVE Online & Avatars United App Contest
And the winners are...

The Winner: EVE - MineManager

EVE - MineManager is a full-cycle op management tool that allows Eve Online users to automate the running of group ops, saving time and allowing for quick payment for participants efforts. Using data from EVE API, Eve-Central, Eve-Metrics and our own custom software MineManager takes the hard work out of running ops and calculating payments. No more running around for market data or using complex spreadsheets to calculate your prices. The system logs the time spent by each member on an op and allows for painless distribution of proceeds. Everything you need to run a successful op in one package, no pen, no paper, no calculator.

2nd place: Eve.Net

Eve.Net is an application where you and your friends can view all your characters sheets, certificates and server-wide statistics comparison.

3rd place: EveCert

EveCert is a Eve Online character monitoring application. View your training skills, skill queue, browse your characters skills and assets.

These applications including the following runners-up and also the EVE Files application (not part of the contest) will be available in the application directory Thursday next week.

EvEFit - Create and share setups for your spaceship in EvE Online.
EVE - Have you got? - The friendly asset search! This app allows you to search the EVE assets of your friends.
EVE Files - EVE Files allows you to explore, share and comment on all the content on eve-files.com. Finally you can easily keep track of all your friends' uploads on EVE Files.

We really want to thank CCP Games and Google as well as our sponsors Amazon Web Services and Popcorn Hour for making this possible.

A special thank you also goes out to all participants for putting all this effort and time into building these cool applications for all EVE players to benefit from.
