Hi this has been taken care of and tested multiple times and F9 can confirm it works.

I too would like to know this, I'm assuming it'd be done by adding up the rolls of two dice and subtracting 1 (since otherwise getting 1 would be impossible), but would be good to get confirmation.

1d9999+1d1909-1 perhaps?

My maths is a bit rusty so I've no idea if that gives an even chance for all numbers.

Make sure to be around for the Spot Prizes starting around 04:00 Evetime on the 8th leading upto the final draw.

T'Amber, no offense, but you know you've effectively cancelled out any other person who is not in the USA (or that timezone) besides people how can afford staying up all night to have a chance at winning a spot prize? I mean, for me that's 5 AM which I can guarantee you, I will not be on :(

Perhaps you could re set the time or split it into 2? one time for US timezone and one time for Euro timezone?

Just a thought as I really like the zealot I won last spotprize run :D

Above is not a solution. This presents a bell curve (which is why 7 is the most common number when rolling 2 dice and snake eyes (2) or boxcars (12) is the least common.

Of course I have ticket #9000 FTW so it doesn't matter what system is usedRazzRazzRazz

Hi Stella, I have tried to give a broad range of times for people to be on. Sadly I am +12 GMT, so it is difficult for me just to be at the final draw time, that will be 11am for me, and I work night shift so I will be staying awake for a long, long time :) I'm sorry if this is unfair but I am trying :)

I don't know the complete costs but you are way off, I'm not a trader and I haven't recorded the prices or checked the market but they're around...

219 Ships + 80 Subs = 30-34bil
Guardian Vexor = 16-24bil
Collectors Bestower = c.5bil
4x Dreadnoughts + Fittings = 7-9bil
2x Faction Ship Sets = Max around 3.6bil
4x Carriers + Fittings = max 5bil
Race Prizes = 5-6bil
4 Freighters = 3.2 - 3.5bil
Other Prizes = 2bil
Advertising, Programming, Fees, Other Costs - around 15bil
Me sitting near or on the Computer managing this almost every day - 0bil

Thats over 90billion isk just for the cheapest prices above... not to mention I will be addind two more prizes, I haven't taken anything yet, and there needs to be some isk to make sure there is more isk in the pool for the next lottery.

Before you make a comment and insult me please think about it. Considering the odds are almost 1/4 more than any other lotto I have seen and that I will probably make nothing from this, not to mention covering the loss I took on the last one I am dissapointed that you'd make this comment without actually thinking about it. Please do not enter my lotto.

Okay - so I appreciate the honesty but it begs the question to be asked - What/how is 15 billion spent on promotion and Fees? CCP Fees? Plus weren't there ships donated on both RND1 and RND2? Plus the math is as I take it from your numbers - 119 billion 70 million in final ticket sales. Take away 95 billion (including that 15 billion I don't personally understand) and that you still have roughly 24 BILLION left over. So you got paid for your ship collection first round basically plus had a few billion + isk left over. You said it was to go towards buying for this round which you have gotten paid for now in ticket sales in essence. Still leaving billions and billions left over the way I see it. To go to next round - sure; but then again my point that you are always getting paid for this aslong as tickets sales reach mins. So thus billions always left over and again, some of the ships were donated. So - here is my point, and let me be perfectly clear here as not to rain on your hard work because the lotto is a great idea to enrich EVE game play and you have worked hard I am sure, but lets be totally honest here - you do plan on making a profit on this as you have stated. Why not just say what your exact profit margin will be for all your hard work in the lotto disclaimer and be totally transparent. We can all do the math and if you don't come out with it then It will look really shady and like you are hiding things which I am sure will not help ticket sales. We all know that most lotteries in EVE are not the most legit - your's odds much more than most! - hows about keeping it this way, eh? Anyways- not trying to Insult anyone but please don't insult our intelligences too. Cheers!

Okay - so I appreciate the honesty but it begs the question to be asked.....

Hi,

:) Costs = Advertising, Programming, Events Management, Videoing for the race, securing fees... I'm sure you can imagine the magnatude of organising an event, and I can't do everything my self, I have been eating and breathing Lotto for almost two months now.

The amounts are just estimates at the time of purchasing, they could be cheaper now (probably for the t3 ships) and maybe a little more for some, spot prizes may be more aswell. Donated ships came to less than you would think, although they were great, most were t2 frigs and some faction frigs.

Regarding the first lotto, no I lost about 10bil as I bought most of the t3 stuff when it came out and paid ridiculously high amounts. :) But that is irrelivant to the lotto, just for my book keeping.

Anyway, and yes I would like to make isk. That is given, and the running costs will be less as we go on. The isk left over... well its for the next lottery and ships don't cost nothing.. I need atleast the same amount or more that I started with, most of what is left over is going there. As this is a COMPLETELY new format which some others are trying to emulate, I have no idea what the profit margin is or could be. Once we've got something concrete then what you suggest might be possible. The next lotto is going to be a different format (And named different) so we can see how other avenues go.

Thanks for your views.

Aloura Deshine, it's called a Capitalist Democracy.

You can exercise your democratic rights buying a ticket, or by not bothering. Capitalism = profit, get used to it.

I have 1 ticket. It cost me 10 Million ISK. If I win first prize and sell it for 15-20Bn, will your profit police come for me too?

Aloura Deshine, leave T'Amber alone if you dont like the lotto then dont bother reading anything to do with it.
Personally I dont care how much isk he makes out of it, I was in the first lotto and am in this one and its a great bunch of prises with a better than normal chance of winning something.

If I had thought of this I would have done it as well

Keep these going T

Correct me if Im wrong.. but isnt the equation missing a set of brackets?

As far as I can work it..

1d5953+((1d2-1)*5953)

Edit: Forget that, almost forgot the rules of bodmas - the brackets and multiplication are doen first before the addition..
