Its pretty simple.

With a patch comes an update procedure. That means that all those macro'ers need to manually update their hundreds of boxes.

This takes them about a week or so - then they come back in their masses again once they're all updated.

They will return.

Well if there is any drop in isk macro/sales then Hilmar is going to have some explaining to do at the next shareholder meeting.

Might even have to lose a few metres off his next yacht.

Yep. As said before: China just banned game money trading, they won't be coming back.
If you have kept eye on the isk spammers you can clearly see these poor sods are now quickly trying to sell the last of their eve golds.

ISK farming and selling will be back... It's simply too lucrative to not happen. The operations might be moved to another low-cost center, but it will happen....
