Hi guys, I just wanted to inform you of a new FPS MMO that looks promising.

The game is Global Agenda and their website is http://www.globalagendagame.com/

It looks to have good, complex FPS action and a driven territory aspect to it (any corps or alliances wanna hop over during off hours to get some faster paced sovriegnty grabbing action?)

It looks really fun and is going to enter closed beta soon, so it's going to be out in the near future! GAMC!

So, is it something like Tabula Rasa?

Looks 3rd person to me

I saw that, looks like an ongoing game of 3rd Person Unreal Tournament with character building thrown in. Le Yawn.

DEFINITELY not Tabula Rasa.

It's actually twitch based.

It also looks much better than Planetside or any other mmofps, they seem to have put a lot of though into it.

Some fun ideas are implemented into the game that make it seem very 2142 titan mode-y.

I don't see the FPS I was promised. Just the same 3rd person action every MMO has.

Because there are jetpacks, grappling hooks, etc they decided to make it 3rd person for now.

But its NOT a hotkey pressing MMO, if anything its more like Starsiege tribes in 3rd person or max payne for the control scheme.

Tribes Vengeance maybe, in which case I wouldn't touch it ugh

Looks interesting, but with TOR and Aeon on the horizon it will struggle. Might have a look if it goes open beta.

Our clan got a beta code invite from the devs, so when it goes closed beta test, well see how fun it is.

Will be interesting to see how they manage latency.

I'm guessing no local server for us Aussies.

We always get left out in the cold Sad

This game isnt tribes to my knowledge.

That being said just because GA has some fun features of tribes vengeance doesnt mean its not worth trying.
TV failed because they got rid of so many things that made tribes good even though they introduced some great new things.

They have some ideas about how to reduce latency by keeping people from blobbing, check it out.

Also, it looks like it has some cool TF2 features as well with building turrets and the like.

Best FPSMMO, IMHO.
Thought about that one but the AI is rubbish, you have to actually physically travel between levels and you don't respawn when you die. Multiplayer is quite good though and bizarrely, they pay you a monthly sub for playing.

I've been Alpha testing GLobal Agenda for a couple of months now. Since their offices are within a short drive of where I live, I have even done some testing in their own office.

Global Agenda has a lot of promise, but it is kinda slow since they are a small independent company and they tend to take their time with getting everything just right.

I have a limited amount of Priority access Beta codes that you can use to get involved in the testing now. Evemail me with why you should get a code and I'll try to send them to the 5 most deserving (or entertaining) ((or whoever bribed me the most)) pod pilots.

Signing up for beta bored me out of my mind, how I loath filling out forms...

If you have any left that don't go to players more deserving, I'd appreciate one enough to give beta a try. Is there an NDA in place for alpha or beta testing?

There is an NDA in place which is why I can't comment on specific features. I will say that it is an enjoyable game and I believe that it does hold a LOT of promise once it's done.
