No prober in your fleet?
a
Hell, fit one on any ship if you are in a WH. Lesson learnt?

I'm sure someone will find you sooner or later. Either that or 3 way suicide pact.

Mass self-destruct.
I'll take payment in ISK (since the Bistot obviously won't make it).

What? It's a way out! Razz

PROPER FIRST

ALWAYS SEND THE PROBER FIRST

BLOODY HELL

what did you think the hole would just stay open for your entire fleet to go through and come back again

you silly silly people.

the best way is self destruct , but leave your ships in space, someone may salvage it for you if you leave a bookmark with your name in it then you can see how long it would of taken you to get home

here a good tip for next time

prober in first

prober out last

and bring probes

everything else is not important _

now you have the hard decision

how much do you value your own cargo over your own cloned life =)

Kill the prober.

Well...self-destruct ship, self-destruct pod, get new clone, get new ship, then kill the prober (twice for the trouble).

The prober/explorer is the safest job in the fleet.

Every one should cloak, and have the vast array of probes for getting the job done.

And most important: DO NOT ENGAGE IN COMBAT. Don't even bother to put guns or launchers on it. (CEOs and FCs, don't let your scanners think they can be cowboys).

Scanner ships should equip with drones, ecm, nuets, etc to get an enemy off it's back, whether it be ganker or sleeper spanker. (Sleeper spankers are worse because the AI makes them smarter the the typical ganker).

The scanning ship should not even be near the rest of the fleet. Heck if you really want to play right, the scanner and the rest of the fleet should never have to meet. ("I swear, if you break my cloak one more f**king time...").

Safe spot and exit protocols should be established beforehand. Let the emoragegankers put a bubble on the WH, you can find your team a new one.

It's a boring job sitting cloaked at a SS doing all that scanning, as boring as Controllerbeing in a Combat Control Team. NOTE HOW THE INSIGNIA PATCH SAYS "FIRST THERE". Hint hint hint.

Don't leave until everybody is safely out. Who cares if the ****** hauler kills the WH. Being the scanner and getting trapped in the WH is a good vacation from the rest of the fleet. "Bye fellas, I will see you....uh.... whenever."

And into the beyond towards real adventure.

When wormholes first came out I jumped a nanod shield buffered tempest out of a wormhole system into some 0.0 60 jumps from where we lived. I was scouting for a 14 man fleet that wanted to raid out there.

Unfortunately I collapsed the wormhole. 30 jumps out of Highsec. I landed in several bubbles. I got tackled by a sabre I had to nuet to run away from. I ran two gate camps, and had two 20+ man fleets chase me. I got convos from guys I'd flown with in the past telling me their fcs were coming for me and asking what the **** I was doing there.

Good Times

We've already established that the OP will kill the prober for it's failure of leaving early when they get out of that system. Razz

You absolute cretin. Always always ALWAYS have a probe ship. It's not hard. Your only option now is to shout out in local from time to time and hope the first person who replies is friendly.

If you've got a indy, for got sake stick a probe launcher on the random high slot! It may be crap at probing, but at least you have a chance...

No he's not. He's wandering around wasting his time. The odds of finding another wormhole in are very small.

Clone jump and move on. Lesson learned.

Are all your remaining ships barges? If so shoot the scanner. If not shoot the other idiots for not fitting scan probes on all non-barge ships.

Haulers should have emergency probe launchers, all frigates and cruisers should have emergency probe launchers in a utility high. If you're not in a system with your own POS, BS should have an emergency probe launcher. You never know when a particular pilot will end up separated from the others.

Highest priority is getting scanning skills to 5/4/4/4 if you're going to be serious about wormhole work - for ALL your pilots who are going along. Skip the cloaking skill for those not going cov-ops but get em all trained up.
