Hi, my name is Kyle Tenney. I came up with a business idea that involved provided fully loaded website scripts/design to corporation CEOs. If you could answer these questions, it would be very much appreciated:

Questions:
As a CEO, would you want to have a website for your corporation?

Would you be willing to pay ISK or cash equivalant for obtaining a website? This website will include a news management system, member management, ranks information page, diplomacy management, Rules page, medals for members, Calendar, About Us, Forums, and more.

If so, how much will you be willing to pay in ISK or it's cash equivalant?

Are you a corporation owner?

Comments please.

Thank you for your input,
Kyle Tenney

This sounds very interesting

But to see if you are legit i ask you to transfer 500 mill isk to my wallet, and then we talk business. Offcourse the isk gets refunded when you prove yourself legit.

I offer this service for just 400m. And if Higgs is delaying at sending your isk back, send me 250m and I send double back. Promised.

Not a CEO but as a tech person, this is what I would want.

1) Killboard with up to date isk values for losses.
2) Daily backups to an FTP or SFTP site of my choice.
3) Forums that aren't useless. Passwords should be hashed, I should be able to see this by going into the database.
4) SSL cert for forums. Self signed is fine.
5) API key tools for viewing stuff. Should be anonymous upload. List of people who uploaded accessible by users with that role.
6) Role based access control.
7) Built on modified "standard" software like Drupal, PHPBB, etc. All relevant information about software involved (backups should have database, web directory and source where applicable). Basically so I'm not reliant on you for eternity if you try to scam me.
8) Fast, reliable. I don't want any downtime, I hate waiting for ****.
9) SSH access to the machine in question.
10) In terms of features I'd want a killboard, messageboard, calendar (ideally with integration to Google calendars and Outlook), private/public forums, new member applications/API key uploads, basic information/press release page, support 5 days a week for modifications and 7 days a week to bounce the server if it goes down.

I've built similar with Drupal, it wasn't terribly hard but I'm not in the support game and I can't be arsed to try to sell ****. I'd imagine something like 50mil per mont for corps and 100mil per month for alliances isn't an unreasonable amount.

Edited to add : I want ownership of the domain name.

Just thought of a few other things and some suggestions.

If I had the time and inclination to do it right I would want to set it up on something like Amazon EC2 or Rackspace's similar offering. Why? Because basement servers suck. They rely too much on shoddy cable/DSL connections.

So essentially I'd set it up on an EC2 image, Ubuntu server, SMTP/POP3 server on there (extra for email accounts naturally). Rsync for backups. OpenSSL for SSL generation, RSA 2048 bit for TLS 3.0. Build it on top of Drupal and that open source killboard.

Something I think would be interesting to do would be to have a software RSA ability and IDS + Nagios monitoring. That'd make it more attractive I think to large alliances (see the issues with bots going and pulling down entire forums in the Goon vs Bob war). I'd actually be willing to build/sell you a software token based RSA system and build it on top of OpenSSO/OpenLDAP if you'd be willing to assume all legal/patent liabilities. I can't be bothered to dig through patents for some bull**** Eve site.

Edited to add: If you've never heard of RSA basically you get a username + password + a token that is only one-time-use and changes ever 60 seconds. So even if you have access to the site with a username and password, you have to physically run a piece of software to get a token and then enter that to gain access. Dual factor authentication + the ability to block bots means you'd elliminate the majority of spy issues. OpenSSO also gives you the ability to allow for user management, password lockouts, password complexity rules, etc.

Edited to add: And one other really nice service would be if you were able to design branding/graphics/logos etc for the site. Project based naturally.

Yes.. I think it is pretty necessary for communication purposes.

Isk would be better, and hopefully would be competitive with the amount charged by Griefwatch but with better functionality.

That remains to be seen .... millions per month dependent on the functionality.
