I would like to suggest a new ship "Ship Freighter" with a few million m3 ship hangar. To ease the logistical hell Rigs have put on moving many ships from 1 place to another. Ship Freighter: 6 Million m3 Ship maintanace Hangar. And No other types of hangars. Jump Ship Freighter : (yes we need a jumped version aswell, not as important) 2 Million m3 Ship maintanace Hangar. And No other types of hangars except a Fuel Hangar. CCP give us ships that are specially good at moving ships assembled w.Rigs. |

OMG I'm SICK of people saying orca is the answer to all our ship and cargo hauling needs short of a freighter. An ORCA is not, nor was it designed to be, a mini-freighter or ship hauler. It may fit in a pinch, but a DEDICATED, SPECIALIZED ship is required. You don't need to train dedicated mining skills to fly a hauler like an iteron, and you shouldn't have to spend over a month of time to dedicated MINING skills to fly a mini-freighter or ship freighter! There should be 2 new ships: a mini-freighter that can haul around 200k of cargo, is about half the price of and more agile than a regular freighter. We also need, as said, a freighter that can haul rigged ships with only a dedicated ship maintenance bay. Whethere or not there are jump versions, I don't care too much, though it would be nice. |

Well your options are
a) Whine in here and maybe they'll squeeze your idea into a release months/years/never in the future. And then you might need to train a couple of weeks for the skills to fly it, and pay an inflated 'early adopter' price. b) Train a couple of weeks for the skills to fly an orca, then use it for the months/years before the 'mini freighter' idea gets implemented.
I don't know about you, but (b) seems like the logical choice to me.

I don't see why we shouldn't be able to put an assembled/fitted/rigged ship into any industrial that has enough cargo space anyway.
If that can't be changed, a ship ferry would be an excellent addition to the game. |

Actually, you can. I've been moving around assembled and rigged ships (up to, and including, cruisers and t2 cruisers) in my freighter. Too bad there's 120k m³ limitation on ship volume (it takes assembled volume though). Remove the limitation - and voila - you don't need a dedicated ship moving ship other than regular (jump)freighter... At least for a while. |
