So what is happening now, we have were told that the downtime will last no longer than 12am, its now 17:27. what is happening, have we got a new estimate of its actual up time. I want to play eve now, exams are over, eve time eve time eve time!

Hard to spend enough time in debugging when people are whining and moaning about fix this fix that, they want to roll it out as soon as they can... Soemtimes that creates errors.


they could have like 1000 people testing on a debug server and i don't mean employees. I mean players that would get an extra month...

guys ccp do there best and if they did read this rather than fix the game we would all moan about that we should all just be quite and wait for it to be fixed id rather have them working on the game fixing it then reading all this im sure im not alown :)

We have opened the cluster again now, however we will be throttling the maximum user count initially while we watch the database load. There may be some login queues while we do this.

The wallet transaction log is disabled at this time.

I would much rather they shut the server down for however long it takes to fix the thing, and run sisi on the TQ server, give members back any time spent in this debug, and patching stage. and get everything working correctly, I would rather a game that works at 90%, then on that works at 40% with new features added that also only work at 40% because they were rushed.

(40% is not a real % the features work at, its an exaggeration)

Oh and running sisi on the current TQ servers isnt to give people things to do, its so more testers can check things out then currently able to on SISI's current server, plus with nothing better to do, im sure people would rather lose stuff on sisi then TQ when testing should be done not game play.

Subscription: $15 per month X 12 months =>$180 per year

$180/365 days => $0.49 per day

$0.49/24 hours => $0.02 per hour

Average number online = 40,000 X $0.02 per hour => $800.00

So for every hour of unplanned downtime the player base looses approx $800 per hour in lost subscription costs or $0.02 per hour per account.

Should this kinda stuff happen: NO
Does it happen far to often: YES
Is CCP's response on average pretty poor: YES
Is CCP customer feedback pretty poor: YES
Should they try make up for this somehow: YES
Is this very frustrating for some: YES

For all those who are angry and frustrated, this sucks, yes it does. You are loosing iskies, cant fuel your pos, lost your jetcan, cant set skills etc etc. But aside from possible ingame looses or lack or earnings there is little need to stress over $0.02 per hour.

It's only pixels, high blood pressure and stress aint worth $0.02 per hour. It could be worse, you could be the server admin, headless chicken anyone? Laughing

Well Im a programmer too... I love being critisized for my spelling too (called syntax error) but to be honest... the ccp does all right most of the time but a fix for a fix creating more bugs... come on (allthough it is Navy CSI on tv tonight :-) bladi bladi I log off now to watch TV...
