But in any case, it is damned impressive that such huge fights which involve 1000+ people are possible (on the right node). Such a thing is only possible in Eve.

The reason that is possible in Eve is because Eve has a very simple environment. And its unacceptable that lag issues haven't been solved.

Why does Goons Care so much about the war in the North?
Is this some kinda advertisement scam that you need to make your self visible in every thread!

They care because while the NC came back north to fight White Noise and Tri, -A- and Band of Brothers Alliance have been running over Goons in the south.

The coalition can only take on one entity at a time. They will probably beat that entity, but they have to choose. They cannot divide forces. They either have to do goons work for them in the south, or defend their homes in the north.

Other than that, was a great time for the most part. Gf's to everyone there, I was actually surprised not to see PL there tbh. Alas that time will come too. 8) Until next time guys... gf and see ya 0/

Why do you guys keep cranking out that old chestnut btw?

First - MM (or NC if you want to call it that, but NC is still in Q) can only fight what's in front of them, it's not their problem how many (or few) people you can muster.

Are you suggesting that there should be some kind of pre-battle arrangement where the two sides agree on location for the fight, compare numbers of pilots available and the larger force honourably cuts the surplus numbers from it's fleet to ensure an even fight?

Pre arranged contests where there are rules and predefined numbers on each team are for games, not wars (yes I know eve is a game, but that's not what we're trying to simulate here, is it!)

Not that my opinion counts for anything whatsoever, but personally I'd have more respect for TRI constantly banging on the same old drum if they could suggest some reasonable way that it could be dealt with.
The fact is; rarely, if ever, will you find 2 sides naturally evenly matched - the only way it'd happen is to artificially force it.

If you extrapolate that notion to it's natural conclusion, pvp as we know it is effectively removed from the game, and outposts, sov, R64s etc will be dished out as little more than prizes in a series of 'alliance tournament' type matches.

tl;dr version - stop crying about it when you find yourself outnumbered.

Excellent post.

So you say you are helping BoB now? Tnx for update.

It's very cute you think you tried fighting 'THE NC', but actually TCF were there with only support, not a single cap and Razor weren't there at all. You fought only half the NC and still lost, why should PL come, should we watch or something? Or did you bought F4aze another Erebus, cuz we'll gladly bring our 30 BS-es for him again.Very Happy

I can safely say this was the single biggest fight I lived through. Replacing all those capitals will be tough for Tri w/n and error as they do not have the income most of the entities they were fighting have.

I doubt this is the end of the fighting but I thank Tri and friends for coming to play, and clearly there spyzors didn't tell them they were going to be so outnumbered. And hopefully next time there is less lag because I think both sides would have enjoyed it more Very Happy

GF to all .. was epic.

It was a big cap battle -- I honestly don't know who didn't expect lag.

I'm sure everyone was zoomed in brackets up, had all the effects running and graphics set to high.

Again .. it was a huge fight .. props to all who came to play.

Cheers to Tri- and company for bringing a good fight.

If you choose to fight a larger enemy, don't whine when it turns out exactly like we ALL knew it would, lagfest central.

Lag is a part of large fleet engagements, it is a given. This is also why CCP asked that all large fleet engagements should be reported ahead of time so nodes can be reinforced. I hope some fat programmer at CCP gets fired for not reading his damn emails.....

Great fight guys. See you soon Wink

btw, bring my fighters with you next time (whoever scooped them) they will be necessary for the next node death CCP brings to us.

<3 Tri, <3 the NC, <3 epic fun (even if it is laggy)

Posting in the main thread that started as both sides complaining about lag ruining a good fight and ended as one side smacking the other side for complaining about lag while their blues across the galaxy cheer for them even though they continually whine about opposing numbers all the time in their own war. Cool

Tri killboard is still the most impressive killboard.

Our records show that the Titan that was stolen from Goons was sold. Then the isk from sales purchased new Dreads. From here they will be ship out to Tri headquarters for further engagements with NC.

Im not here to argue the actual execution of the specific attack as the killboards can tell that story.

im just pointing out the blatant lack of common sense in your statement.
