Ok, so I just noticed that you can do ML/PE research on Ore compression blueprints. I did a bit of searching around to see what this will result in and couldn't find any information. Looking at the BPO's there is no wastage factor. So, does anyone know what, if any, benefit this will give? Shorter compression times? The ability to compress more Ore into a block? Or is this just an oversight and is researching them a complete wast of time?

researching the ore compression bpos is a waste of time.
yes you can do time efficiency research to lower the compression time, but with an already low time to begin with there is no point.

when compressing ore you will most likely not be able to keep your ore compression lines filled anyway because of all the clicking and management needed to start and deliver ore.

I'm pretty sure ME research is pointless. PE research might be worth a couple levels if you've got a lab empty. Getting it to 3 or 4 would bring production time down from a minute to like 50 seconds per run I think, which might help you out some.

Depends on how active you are trying to keep up with your miners. If you are 'almost' keeping up with them, the improvement in speed might be worth it.

You can research PE. At PE 12 (I heard this is the cap somewhere, not sure if it is or not), it is 48 seconds per cycle instead of 1 minute. So.. a 20% reduction in compression time.

With ore... its not a big deal as compression is pretty fast anyway. However, this is pretty nice with ice where compression is S...L.....O...........W .
