I have approx 25 mil SP now and have strictly flown Caldari the entire time. I do a lot of pve not as much pvp except some blob stuff and small roaming gangs in 0.0.

I'm starting to get bored of ratting in my Raven and and looking to start flying some new ships.

My thoughts are leaning towards Gallante as I have fairly good drone skills. Can use T2 med and lights and some ewar drones. Can use heavys but a little away from T2 there. I can use all sizes of hybrids just not t2 and have above par missle and shield skills.

What does everyone think, and what ships should I be looking at getting into?

The benefit is that you can train hybrid weapons 5 and it will help both your Caldari rail platforms and Gallente blaster boats.

Apart from that, core gunnary skills, armour tanking and drone skills carry accross to the other races as well.

Edit: However Amarr are the flavour of the month.

If you went Missile - Amarr Sacrilege (Though many argue it's not good for pvp)
If you went Hybrid - Gallente Boats
If you went Drone - Gallente Ishtar

If you want to level 5 missions, Ishtar with your shield skills (It's great at passive tanking) and use drones to dps.

All else fails, Train up Frigates and just go solo ppl with a basic frigate setup

-200 Tungsten Plate
-Small Armor Rep II
-Weapon Boost module of Race
-Warp Scram
-Ewar of Race if you have the Extra slot
Weapon of Boosted Module x how ever many

lol, hf. This setup works well for solo'ing.

Perhaps you are bored of running missions? I would invest more into exploration related skills and keep using the same gun platform. I have amarr-minmatar and a fair bit of gallente but the missions remain the same. The way missions work there is not a real difference in tactics depending on ship race, you show up, tank the spawn and start killing them. It is even rare to move of the direct line between jump points.
