The scanner will now remember 100% sigs.

Does this mean that sig won't show up on future scans? (or will show up but at 100%)

This would be great and help a lot for sifting through all those sites.

Good points:

It has always amused me the oft heard "paper thin" whine of caldari recons pilots who don't seem to know what it's like to fly other recons, where LSE(s) or plate(s) have always been necessary because they too would be "paper thin" if they devoted all their slots to ew. Of course with nerfed and scripted damps, tracking disrupters whoops missile boat, and painters lol, all with 5% bonuses OMG, devoting all your mid slots to those would be comedy fit, unlike what ecm pilots have enjoyed. And the supplemental ew of Web and disrupter bonuses don't give the run away option that a jam does, and neuts take time to cap out a heavy or injected tackler.

And, yeah it may force Falcons and Rooks to use multispecs, which will alleviate some of the 30% bonus problem with racials. I still see an overpowered 30% per level bonused racial jammer as a problem. 4 of those still leaves 3 free mid slots on an ecm recon and i suppose the mwd being the only mandatory other mid slot item now. But you may be correct it might force the ecm recons to use multis instead.

My Pilgrim tanks fine with it's low slots and does not need to compromise it's e-war to do so!

My Falcon on the other hand uses 'range as it's tank' (cant be bothered to go back to the last ecm changes to dig up that dev quote but thats why the Griffin kinetic bonus got changed to an ECM range bonus)

Please stop trying to compare all the recons or to justify a Falcon nerf on the grounds that all the others got nerfed/are useless (which is far from the case if you examine all theaters of combat, not just the one that suits your argument) no other race puts/put all its bonuses into 1 module and was therefore a 1 trick pony

If Falcon pilots can be expected to fit a tank than other pilots can equally be expected to fit ECCM (which does work despite what alot of opinion to the contrary)

Those of you saying that Falcon mids can be used for tank have clearly limited/no experience of using these modules since the chance based system was implimented

When testing the rook on SiSi (Worked perfectly, tanked as good as any recon that needs a tank), I discovered that ECM Burst was rather rubbish.

My idea was to use bursting to remove the drone agro.

Sadly, the second anything bigger than light drones was set on me (5 vs 1, what else do you expect on SISI?), I couldn't keep them away. After looking at drone specs, all I can say is 'why?'.

Rook will soon be seen in pvp fleets as much as Huginns and Curses rather than just falcons.

x2 LSE and fit around that guys, nothing more to it.

Paper thin is what you get when you put 3 webs and 3 tps on a rapier too. Fit how you like, just don't complain you died to less than 6k damage.

Same deal to drake pilots dying to less than 9k damage as they had no tank lol (Just been looking at kill boards, honor tank is ALIVE .. just not doing very well)

how come the agility changes did not make it into this patch? I thought they were pretty solid as is on the test server, any rough estimate when the era of the instawarping cruisers and below will end?!

Good to see you fixing a graphical glitch with the Legion, the exact same glitch present on ALL rogue drones .. the phantom Tempest shape.
Oh and the drones shooting bunker after FW system changes back to contested? This was "attached to a defect" back in may last year, way to work on dead-lines Smile

Looks good otherwise, a lot of interesting things to watch out for in the coming months in regards to the BlackOps and Bombers.

ECCM differs from all other eWar counters in that it has NO FUNCTION beside countering the ecm module, and it does so poorly on all sub-BS class ships.

The ECM boats will be even stronger with the new changes, the jamming of 4 ships will still be possible if you forego the tank, but you need to "make do" with 2 when adding tank .. compromises and choices are good for the game. Range is still there but is no longer out of reach of everything but sniper BS.

Remember that ECM completely "removes" the target from the battlefield whereas all other forms allow for pilot to do other things.

The Rook is going to be a fearsome recon, that strength bonus is immense.

The agility changes did not pass certain development stages to be part of the Apocrypha 1.1 release candidate. They will remain on singularity for further testing and possible inclusion in the following patch (cannot give any ETA of when the next patch will be for now sorry).

I would like some clarification about this because i'm not sure i understand what you are changing.

the "last 25 queries" part, when you call the api you don't get a query back, you get a bunch of data hopefully and not queries.

Does this mean that a call to get the kill mails will only return 25 or 100 rows of data? if so i assume paging is out of the question to get more results?

I really like all the changes except for the implant-get-podded thingie. That kind-of blows. Glad I have a bunch of +2 implants laying around...

Oh, and thank the lord for the right click to remove from overview in the scanner!!!! I've been crying the blues w/o that.

It will be in roughly 3 weeks time .. that will be the patch to fix the patch that fixed the patch that fixed the patch that fixed the patch that was suppossed to fix apocrappyha.

Things I like about apocrappyha : I LOVE the sensor booster effect, better than the old by far. I LOVE the jump graphics, very funky. Thats it really. The rest of it is so buggy its not worth talking about because a) You havent and will not likely to be be fixing it and b) You really dont give a sh it anyway.

Actually, 'you dont really give a sh it anyway' pretty well sums up CCP and the Dev team and should become CCP's new mantra .. 'we dont give a sh it, we dont give a sh it, we dont give a sh it' ad infinitum

I cannot believe people are calling this a nerf. Why the hell would you train just as fast without the implants. If you are in Empire, you should be fine, if you are in 0.0, grow a pair.

I welcome the changes to Black Ops and the Widow. But a $600,000,000 Black Ops Battleship should be able to warp cloaked.

I've only been here for little over a year so now I've witnessed the nano nerf, and now the falcon nerf.

I eagerly await the next whine and nerf.

In other news, I'm pretty excited about the new stealth bombers, should provide for some interesting gang warefare.

Cant say im happy with the changes to the implants luckily ill be done bs5 in 3 days (no plants anymore, so i might login after patch to 7 days. Is this going to effect only new poddings, or will un-implanted clones still receive their bonus until next podding? Not happy with the change, but I can understand that the current mechanics of them dont make sense.

Im a gallente pilot, so my SP for cruise missiles is now turfed for my bomber. Thankfully i have light torp skills so getting skill proficiency back for it won't be much issue. Wish they would still allow cruise missiles :(

not only that ... it should be able to jump into any system it wants without any need of a jumpin alt ... i dont get it ... Black Ops ... T2 .... jump drive ..... cloaky .... not able to jump without any alt in the same fleet ....gz

Black Ops (into jammed systems) and Stealth Bombers with torps/covert cloaks... totally dig these changes... I wonder how long a cyno jammer can last with a wolf pack of Javelin Torpedo flinging, covert cloak wearing, black ops bridging stealth bombers kiting the POS. well, I'm sure quite a while.. but it'd be fun to watch... might be better suited to taking out the POS guns though...

Bless you, CCP, for the fixes to w-space probing. They look great! And the change to the covert cyno have been long awaited, ever since the inception of the module. Thanks for getting that change in!

I'm still a bit skeptical over the changes to bombers and Falcons (specifically). I think the bomber changes might be good, but I'm not sure. I'll hold my opinion until I can try them. I even think that most of the ECM changes are good, too. I'm [i]very skeptical on the Falcon changes. I can't see how a ship that frail can possibly take on a Pilgrim-esque 'brawler' role, due primarily to it's total lack of firepower. I wonder what the point of having a hybrid damage bonus is, given that the ship can -- at best -- mount only two guns?

In any case, many good changes, and I'm looking forward to fewer w-space probing headaches, and also to seeing if my favorite ship type (bomber) is still as fun and as playable as it used to be!

nice, I like much of what I'm reading.

My chief issue remains client stability however. Pre-apocrypha EVE was very stable for me, rarely if ever crashing. Now there are time where I can't play for longer than 15 minutes without crashing to desktop. This issue is especially exacerbated after alt-tabbing, though not limited to that. Crashes are also common when trying to exit the game (not really a problem, since at that point I want to quit anyway... but worth mentioning).

wow I'm a new player.. i traied up EWAR and stealth bombers.. i'm able to use stealth bombers tonight, i hope i get a chance to try it out before they get nerfed in the new patch tonight.

Thanks a bunch. now the only question is do i renew after waiting this long for a ship thats going to be utterly useless tomorrow.

What nerf? You mean you would actually prefer a stealth bomber without a covops cloak? And whose only role was to alpha strike frigates? A pack of stealth bombers post-patch is going to absolutely destroy people in 0.0, it's going to be awesome.

Even if some ECM ships could use some balancing (and by "some" I mean only the falcon), most people forget Caldari ships rely only on ECM whereas every other race has 2 kinds of ewar - granted, none of them disable their target in the same fashion ECM does but complimentary systems often offset such disadvantage (neuts + tracking disruptors not only reduces offensive capabilities but also makes the overall "getting-rid-of-the-target-process" much faster; damps + points similarly reduce offensive capabilities and cut escape routs / some of targets' mobility; webs + painters ensure the target is hit my most of what's thrown at it).

Surely, we needed and ECM review - BECAUSE OF FALCON - but the one we got seems a little too heavyhanded.

Having said that, great job with the black ops (even though they NEED that covert ops cloak - they're gonna be the only covert-ship class that can't use it; kinda goes against the flow) and specially - yikes! - with the bombers.

I think Black Ops ships need a further improvement though.
