Caldari ewar ships should not be able to permajam 100%. Unless, ofc, if you also allow the other races ewar ships (yes, they exist!) to have Sensor Dampeners that reduce range to 0 km, Tracking Disruptors that reduce tracking to 0 rad/s, etc...

That being said, I get the impression people just whine without actually reading what is changing.
- Falcon wasn't nerfed but actually got a minor buff.
- Rook lost some jamming range, gained jamming strength and drones!
- Scorp gained jamming falloff
- Widow gained jamming strength

- ECM mods lost some optimal and gained some falloff, but in turn distortion amps now give bonuses to both strength and range...

You can hardly call that a nerf ugh

Thx for the CovOps Cloak on the SBs CCP, but boohoo for the switch to torpedoes...

Good changes overall. But still, there is lots of both minor and major issues that continue to be ignored...

I thought T3 was not meant to be better or replace T2? Well as a booster for a passive tank gang the T3 cruiser just made command ships obsolete. If the gang are passive tanking why take a command ship when the T3 crusier is so much better, does better DPS, tanks better, boosts better and pretty much everything better?

Purely from a passive tank point of view after prices stabilise the T3 cruiser is better at everything over a Vulture and once prices hit CCP target will be the same price as a Vulture makeing the Vulture obsolete.

Now all that remains is the ability to warp cloaked in it.

Oh! And the decloaking delay sucks Evil or Very Mad

Although that all depends on the increased scan resolution.

They are not *better* in your example. They can only fit one link, not three. They can also not outdps field command ships. And if they fit 3 links with warfare command processors, they gimp their fit just like field command ships.

fix your overview settings

there's probably 3 veld roids... and 30 others

i had the same issue, had nfi what my corp was mining until i ticked all overview selections haha.

A new note has been added:

The "Legion Offensive - Convergent Beam Focuser” subsystem has been renamed to “Legion Offensive - Assault Optimization” and now gains a bonus to Heavy assault missile damage and missile launcher rate of fire following a new Khanid focus.

I too live (and frequently die) in 0.0, so this change will hurt me a little too. However, you have to admit that the previous behaviour, where the implants still worked even after they were destroyed, was a bit odd. It seem that the code for calculating remaining training time has been made more sophisticated. This allows the calculation to take into account all of the relevant factors i.e. are the implants in the head or not.

The 'ghost implants' were only a small gain for me. If you are at a stage in your training plan where most skills last weeks, you will be hit harder. Remove 50% of the range of the ship is not a buff, but a nerf. It would be a buff if he get a better tank or a better strength efficiency. Apart one more turret slot that no one will use, it is not the case.

Yes but they give LESS than before. 10% range and 10% strength instead of 20% strength, and the range bonus try to compensate the range nerf of mods. So this is a nerf too, and it makes SDA more mandatory than before.

Read the patch notes and like most of what I see, well done all.

Just a small request, could someone from the dev team post a rough idea of how big the patch will be just in case people need to schedule the download in off peak time and could you also (if the patch is big) post a direct link to the file so us with download managers and many clients to patch can get the file just the once.

Yes I did note the file would remain after patching but it’s easier for me to schedule a download direct into my download computer and not the main game pc.

Indeed, you need new glasses.

Falcons are now totaly useless. Too lower range, a paper thin tank, just the poor Covert Cloak still remains, while the only thing needed was a script to the Sensor Booster to replace ECCM, or a boost to ECCM, or just make the Falcon at 150/160Km with fall-off to reduce Jam chance and make them in range of snipers in all situations.

At least, they didn't be too harsh against Scorpion and Rook, but how long before whaaaa whaaaa players, who can't counter them because they suck, will cry again ?



To counter falcon you need to:

Gimp your setup and loose to Falcon`s friends firepower.

Bring blob so Falcon cant jam.

Bring your own Falcon.

How long of buffing does it take before a nerf takes effect ? (just so i know when to reactivate my accounts if Falcons get weaker)

Probably Provocation. Thats the way everyone who doesn't fly a falcon or has can't be bothered to fit eccm takes it too. Idea is "lets nerf them AND poke fun at them while we do it" =(

I was talking about them from a passive tank point of view and only one link is used in that situation. So there is no reason to fit the other 2 links and warfare command processors so you never gimp your fit. For a passive tanker or passive tank gang the T3 cruiser is better than the Vulture at everything.

Last time I looked the T3 Cruiser and field command ship had the around about the same DPS output only the T3 cruiser gives a much bigger boost so again why use the field command ship when T3 is just as good or better? Why would anyone want to use a Field Command ship once prices hit 200mill for T3?

With regards to the 5 seconds cloaking delay for the black ops, if this on targetting or recloaking? If its targetting then meh, it was one of the best features about them.

Will we still need to get within 1500m of containers to open them, or has this range been increased to 2500m as well?

Well, it does lose one lowslot (or I guess mid for the squid). And the DPS is NOT comparable. Nearly none of the T3 ships can match their racial command ship, usually missing about 200 dps to do the job.

That's crazy. CCP seeks subscriptions, not suicide.

It is in the interest of the game designers to have each of the four races have appeal. No race should dominate the others. For the health of the game, each race needs to have an overall equivalency to the other races. It is fine and desirable that certain ships or ship classes bias toward one race, as long as the other races have certain ships or ship classes bias toward them.

If indeed some feel "CCP hates Caldari" as you say, then the greatest odds are the game designers saw a need to balance things out so each of the four races are somewhat equivalent. It would be a real boring game if all pilots only flew Caldari ships.

Game designers: it would be great if there was a slight bonus to fly a ship of your own race. It would make choosing a race a bit more important.
