Some market improvement that EVE-online need in:
1)Why is the orders with 3 month time setup have the same tax rate as order for one day?
This must be changed, coz there is no progressive tax rate for the order time set and ALL EVE players set up their orders up to 90 days. RESULTS - BEFORE: market data base is overfilled. AFTER: players will thought before set up a order time.

2)The orders change time MUST be increased. this step is against trade-bots(ya ya there a lot of them. You dont know ? O_o) and for relaxing data base. the allow change time may be 2 hours or more. To prevent the multiple orders of one thing from one player, there must be progressive tax rate for each order with the same thing(for example 1 order - norm tax rate, second same order - tax rate +30%...etc) RESULTS - BEFORE: lag, lag, bot, bot. AFTER: data base will be "healthy".

3)Each time then changing the sell order, will take, for example, 1%(or fixed percent like 1 mil :P ) of its price. RESULTS - BEFORE: lag, lag, bot, bot. AFTER: reduce the address to the data base.

4)Allow CEO or\and directors to manipulate orders that was set up for\by corporation.

5)Double click on order will show advanced options to change order price(and not to open info window like now)

6)Change the color of orders that belong to the player. (tor example when I open market window, I will see my buy\sell orders marked with red\blue...etc).

And now peoples, I want to see your oppinion about all of this. And sry for my bad English =\

No way! If you f*ck up your order, then you can not change it!

Why? It happens that I sell the same thing in the same price on the same station. Just there is 1 month between the 2 order. I don't see there a problem.
If he have that amount of market order slots, then let him to use it.

Changing a sell order is charging you with a fix amount of ISK, I agree that it could be increased, let's say.. max 1000 ISK, instead of the current 100 ISK

Agree

Good idea.

That would mean additional stress to the database. I disagree.

And generally I don't think that there is lag in the market system. And for the bots you need to figure out something else. Most of your ideas is f*cking up the legitim players.

A change is needed on some issues..

I fail to see your direction of logic though, and your idea that traders should not have multiple orders in one item is seriously flawed.

Some arguments and explaining of your logic is seriously missing..

Market NEEDs to be saturated with orders, that is a good thing for the stability of the economy. You would like it to be depleted, and most likely to remove competition, and be able to solo trade items in low trader populated areas.. It sound a lot like your attacking some of the more positive developments of the economy.

Seems we've had a rash of "Market Improvement" topics lately. Most of what you are saying, OP, has already been discussed and addressed in those topics. Not all, perhaps, but most. You'd be wise to post in those threads, as many good points, like the ones you're making, have already been made and responded to.

Okay,

You will never 100% eliminate bots. What you should aim for is to minimize their impact.

Right now, I would argue that the impact of bots is very minimal on the market. If I log in only 30 minutes-1 hour a day, I can pull down 150-250m a day, adjusting orders mostly and occasionally moving an alt. It really isn't hard, and I'm doing by hand a task that (I presume) a bot could do. BUT if bots were as active as you make them out to be, and doing automatically 23/7 what I do by hand, the market would be significantly more impacted AND lazy traders like me would have incredible difficulty competing and making money in this mark.

As much as you might not want to admit it, bots on the market aren't as common as you think. Market is PvP, and my goal is to make as much money as I can while also bankrupting everyone else.

So, a major premise that several of your points are built on is shot down. As for your other days, a few are okay, and most are too stupid to engage seriously.

<3, Sir Elliot

/me reiterates Lost Hamster's point.

Wait a minute.... remove the PvP element of market trading? Destroy the saturation levels of the market?

I fail to see how any of these changes are good for anybody but the VERY NEW trader?
