This is what happens when no0bs train straight up for a battleship and have no concept of the meaning of 'support skills'

Make the damn things shorter, CCP.

4 hours...lolwat?

You could always try the common sense approach and do the mission with a friend*

This though, would involve something known as "teamwork", a radical concept I know, but it may catch on.

@OP. Coming to the forums when you have problems is the smart thing to do. Just ask your questions and seek advice from people who know more then you. The worst thing that can happen is you get trolled a little and the answers you get might not be the ones you want to hear.

He might not get to THAT point I listed above too fast, but he can increase his skills to pretty damned close in a relatively short while.
Weapon Upgrades 4, Battlecruisers 4, Heavy Missiles 5, Heavy Missile Spec 3, Rapid Launch 4, Missile Launcher Operation 5, Warhead Upgrades 3-4, Combat Drone Operation 4, Drone Interfacing 3-4, Scout Drone Operation 5, <racial> drone specialisation 2-3, Electronics 5, Engineering 5, Shield/Energy systems operation/management to 4, maybe operations to 5.
That's all he REALLY needs, and it should take like what, 2 months tops ? If not less ?

Not really, any noob can be as good as me with interceptors in less then 2 months. In 9 Months they can be as good as me with a particular BS. And so forth, and so on.

If you do not see that, then it is obvious you are working very hard at being blind.

But now we all KNOW you're either clueless OR a rather good troll.

clueless.

P.S. I can push out roughly 500 (mostly kinetic) raw DPS out of my Drake at a decent range. How much can you ?
Also, I fly a Nighthawk nowadays. Even more DPS. But I still have my old Drake.

on eft it comes out at 144.

So, what, 2 months is way too long now for the BEST source of highsec income (and one of the best and safest sources of income in the entire game) ?
In a game where the AVERAGE lifespan of a character is over 9 months long, and that considering the subscriber base keeps increasing (and obviously, new players start at age zero, lowering the average lifespan) ?
Seriously ?

Who said you're supposed to be competitive with a low-SP character? Why would we even have SP if everyone is supposed to be at the same level regardless of training? That makes no sense.

I vote troll.

Oh, and I also have a Drake that does over 630+ DPS, so it's possible as Akita mentioned.

LOL I see now. But wouldn't Akita have to be working for EFT since it's EFT that's showing all that DPS? And whom do I work for if my Drake DPS is higher than Akita's?

i know this sounds like a smart ass answer but it's really not, but stop using missile boats. i absolutely agree with your statement, but only if a raven or a drake is what you're talking about. they DO make the missions seem dreadfully slow, but they are a relatively "safe" ship to do missions in, especially at higher levels of skill training.

"better" doesn't come without two things in this game, skill-training and isk. and there's also trade-offs for doing things one way over another. try training up to fly a laser boat in missions and you'll have a lot more fun melting ships, but you'll run into proverbial brick walls when dealing with certain NPC types because you can't pick your damage.
