I'm not sure what causes this, but it seems to occur whenever I'm zoomed out. I'm pewpewing some rats for example zoomed out, I zoom in to stare at my ship because it's shiny, and I notice that my ship has vanished, and the only thing left to visually confirm it still exists is the shield hardener glow, outlining the ship. The model reappears when I click on the ship in space.

What's causing this?

I'm having this exact same problem. Updated drivers, cleared cache, etc. Sometimes my warp effect will go straight down as opposed toward the object I'm warping to (which is very disorientating) and my clients seem to be randomly closing as well. No crash error or anything, the client just closes, albeit rarely. Still not willing to take my capitals out until it's fixed. All of this started with the latest patch.

Similar issues since the recent patch (and other corp mates have mentioned the same thing). Ship model disappears, warp tunnel goes down (seems to only happen when I'm in a pod), stations and gates don't show up until I've already jumped or docked (well, not entirely true. I can see the spinning inside part of the gate which I would be able to see were the rest of the model there. See attached images.)

Alright, so technically you probably can't tell that the tunnel is going downwards in that image, but trust me, it is. Very weird.

Same issue, gates, stations, ships. Anything can disappear and sometimes loads when sighted, but my own ship model sometimes disappears completely.


EDIT: 3 CTDs all of a sudden, and EVE has RARELY crashed for me. What ever you guys did, un-do it :-P






EDIT 2: More CTDs today, program just up and dies, this has never happened before the most recent patch.

Having the exact same problems. Doesnt happen with ships flown by players, just gates, stations and rats. The models reapear once you move the camera.

I am also having the same problem. When zooming out and back my ship is gone completely. Same with the stations. I have also had issues with some of the jump gates just appearing as a big white patch that takes up half of my screen.

Well CCP, looks like your patch to fix stuff actually made things worse. Congrats. Please test before you release your next patch and fix this current failure.

yup i get it too

also gates in minmatar space dont always spawn right away... can be delayed upto 10 seconds only the lights & gate icon are visable

Yep same for me too.

Had my first CTD EVER! the other day doing a lvl 3 mission with friend was in low-sec and surrounded by rats. Not cool.

With the pod too it dosen't move like it used to, no thursters, dosen't bob and wobble just a static model and as others say the warp tunnel is moving in perpendicular direction to pod during warp.

Also noticed on my curiser in which I have several different guns they switch places everytime I load a new system or come out of station. I know this was an old EVE issue maybe never totally fixed, I'm not sure.

Me too. My hawk disappears down to the rotating barrels. Looks like a pair of maracas floating around in space.
The the mining barges disappear except for the plumes on the sides; until you click on the ship. Using an nVidia 8800 model.

I to find this very troublesome to tell if I am still in cloak or not after a jump.

However I vote we make this an option (like the drones) cause seeing just the navigation lights on a Hulk appear to float in mid-space is pretty trippy! Especially the vertical beams and flames shooting out the side :-\

Just chiming in to say I'm getting the same thing. Ships, gates and stations disappear, leaving only their lighting effects. If I grab the camera and shake it a little they come back.

Glad I am not the only one... Was about to do a thread on this.. and looky looky...

The issue is quite annoying. Saved me a lot of time trying to figure out if something was wrong with my system.

I am seeing the same thing..Also when i warp to a gate if bump the model it instantly shows up. When I jump through a gate is always viable behind me.

I havent havent had that problem directly, but I have noticed that when i'm choosing which ship I want to fly, the little pic of the ship is all distorted. this is mainly happening with the Abaddon

EVE Bug

The above photo has two bugs that I've been suffering from.

The first and most important one is the ship model disappearing. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.

Secondly, a small bug that is really just a bother, but since I noticed it in the pic, I'll mention it as well: even when I'm NOT being jammed, the "Jamming" timer bar above my ship's vitals still shows. Wondering why is that... ugh

EDIT: Also wanted to add that I suffer from the "Warp Tunnel Facing Downward" bug as well...
