Allright, after a discussion on the test server with some local's about ECM and falcons i've got up too a new idea.

ArrowWhenever you'r getting jammed succesfully by a w/e ecm ship your ship's computer will adapt to it. That means that after each jamm your sensor strenghte will be getting larger by 10 or 20 %. ( CPU's should be very smart in EVE
and reconize what's jamming the sensors )

ExclamationBut, to not make this overpowered your sensor strenghte will be resseted to normal after you warp away / leave grid / jump off or dock up. ( aswell when you enter a pos or log off )

ArrowThis should give people the ability to fight back after a few jamm's so you won't get perma jammed after all ( which alot of people hate ).

ExclamationExclamation Then again, if gang members just randomly ecm their members then the enemy's have 0 chance to ectualy jamm something.

So, to counter a exploit like that the ships comp will higher your sensor strenghte vs ONLY falcon X jamming you. So, if Falcon B get's in he's able to jamm you so your computer will higher the sensor streghte vs falcon B.
( Each ecm jamm ship has it's own ecm codes / signature's )

What's your opinion about this?

- Sorry for grammatical errors ( i aint perfect at english )

i would rather see it rise every successful cycle, but drop every unsuccessful one.

This seems better than the proposed idea, If you have it only fall when you warp off you just get a gang sitting at a gate camp jamming each other till their sig strength is off the charts....

so in a gatecamp, I repeatedly jam my fellow campers a few times to increase their ECM defenses ??? so you think this is desired ???

The last person to reply has a good point... Boosting your teammates whiel you wait for the opposition would make everything suck.

ECM DOES suck though, Falcons are a necessary evil in fleets now. If you take out a 2-3 HAC gang with a falcon, you can completely destroy a 4-5man HAC gang without loosing ONE of your side. It's not balanced, not for ****. Something definitely needs changing somewhere.

Well, suppose we'll all be keeping an eye on the forums for a solution that might actually get taken seriously eh?

Or just change teh ECM mechanic - rather than stopping you targetting anything at all, it simply knocks off 1 or more of your currently locked targets. This would make Targeting and Multitasking actually useful :)
