R.U.R. vs Ushra'Khan

Reported By: ISD Amaari Yolkia

The last day of the tournament opened with R.U.R. (RUR) taking a closely fought win against Ushra’Khan (UNITY).

R.U.R.: 2 Harbinger | 1 Hurricane | 5 Omen Navy Issue | 2 Rupture
Ushra’Khan: 1 Damnation | 1 Hurricane | 7 Stabber Fleet Issue | 1 Rupture

The first match of the day opened slowly, with both sides finding it difficult to neutralise their first targets. RUR initially split their attack between two different Stabbers piloted by Ombey and JimmySav, while UNITY opted to focus fire on the Rira Vanga’s Omen Navy Issue.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m1-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

Eventually UNITY managed to steal the first kill, as Rira’s ship went down amongst a cloud of vicious drones. RUR responded savagely for their loss, as they tore though the defences of both Omens they had set their eyes on.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m1-3.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

What followed was a morbid game of tit for tat, as both sides pounded each other’s ships into submission. Ultimately RUR managed to gain the advantage, successfully neutralising their rivals ships until only the Chernobog’s Damnation remained. The sole UNITY survivor had little chance against the two Harbingers, a Hurricane, a Rupture, and an Omen Navy Issue remaining on the RUR side, and so capitulated under fire.

After the match Elsinaril, team captain for RUR, talked about what clinched the match for his side: “Ushra’Khan are experienced and seasoned veterans without any doubt, but our team was just a little bit more energetic and enthusiastic this time.”

Seliah from the opposing team also spoke about her thoughts on the match: “I don't think we [made] any huge mistakes, but their Webifiers and ECM Drones definitely did not help our Stabbers. Basically we couldn't keep range and our tracking disruptors on them, but it was a very good fight. We are all proud we went that far in the Tournament.”

Unaffiliated vs Firmus Ixion

Reported By: ISD Clarity Brown

Unaffiliated blazed to victory in the second match of the day, a fast and violent match against Firmus Ixion.

Unaffiliated: 4 Caracal Navy Issue | 2 Drake | Sabre | Sleipnir | Thrasher
Firmus Ixion: Kitsune | 4 Sleipnir | 3 Stabber Fleet Issue | Taranis

Firmus Ixion set up for the match with their fleet in position a short distance back from the front lines, with their Kitsune sitting well back in a vantage point from which it could pick and choose its targets untroubled by enemy webs or warp scramblers. Unaffiliated, meanwhile, had their Caracal Navy Issues out at range and its tough, shield-tanked damage dealers close to the front.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m2-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

As the ECM Burst that signalled the start went off, there was no preliminary exchange of fire against incidental targets. Both teams drove straight towards the ships they really, really wanted to kill. Anjelle of Unaffiliated (Caracal Navy Issue) was the first to fall, while NeoFusion's fast, heavily-gunned Sabre (Unaffiliated) chased after 11Ghost11's Kitsune. The Kitsune managed to keep the Sabre jammed, but fell to a brief volley of missiles from Fre'ki's Caracal Navy Issue.

The rest of the Unaffiliated team set to work reducing the damage potential arrayed against them, pounding into SuXaR's Sleipnir. The FIX team, having successfully powered into the thick of the Unaffiliated Caracals, tore apart Fre'ki's vessel.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m2-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The frenetic pace continued with Unaffiliated's destroyer hulls giving clear proof to nay-sayers that such ships can have a place in fleet combat. Kat Alexander of Unaffiliated lost her Thrasher but took Jordan Musgrat's Taranis with her - the "ranis" is known as a slow interceptor, but a tough and very painful one to fight. The focused fire of the rest of the Unaffiliated fleet pounded into Tribal Bleb's Sleipnir, unimpeded by Firmus Ixion's remaining electronic warfare - tracking disruptors, while very effective against turret-based ships, FIX proved unlucky to find themselves faced with a missile-based opposition.

With two Sleipnirs down, Firmus Ixion began to seriouslyy struggle to put out enough damage to even up the score again. Grimveous was the next Firmus Ixion Sleipnir to come under focused fire but his command ship held up well. FIX, meanwhile, slammed shell after shell into Jack Soul's Sleipnir (Unaffiliated), but budvarian's Stabber Fleet Issue (FIX) was left wounded enough to be easily picked off before the Unaffiliated fire returned to Grimveous to send his pod into the cold of space after his teammate's.

With much reduced damage output, Firmus Ixion sensibly started to pick off whatever damage sources on the Unaffiliated team presented themselves. NeoFusion's Sabre and Pembo and Tol Sirion's Caracal Navy Issues didn't manage to keep enough range against the FIX autocannons and found themselves floating serenely off in their pods.

The final Firmus Ixion Sleipnir, Helplessandlost was... incapacitated and killed, next, by the Unaffiliated missile-stream. Olav's Stabber Fleet Issue then took a kicking and with no e-war support to protect the ship, Berndarmin's Stabber Fleet Issue followed. Two Drakes (Daddyhotep Kanin and Kyran Dussalt) and GRUNT1's Nighthawk survived victorious for Unaffiliated.

Dead Terrorists vs G00DFELLAS

Reported By: ISD Caiden S'or

In what turned out to be one of the most exciting matches of the Tournament, GOODFELLAS [GODS] defeats Dead Terrorists [IKILU] in a nail biter.

Dead Terrorists: 2 Abaddon|Myrmidon|6 Stabber Fleet Issue
GOODFELLAS: 5 Nighthawk|5 Ishkur

The only thing that ended being up predictable about this match was the amount of drones deployed at the start. Hornet EC-300 and Vespa EC-600 combined with the Warrior II drones sent out by IKILU went to work on the GODS ships, while GODS stayed primarily with the Warrior II drones for their damage capabilities. Losses were traded initially until only the GODS Nighthawks remained to fight the IKILU Abaddons, Myrmidon, and Republic Fleet Firetail.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m3-1.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The Nighthawks started dropping at that point, the use of microwarp drives negated by the use of warp disruptors causing them to be easily tracked by the Abaddon turrets. Three Nighthawks down, left only two of th Command ship left to pounded away at the Amaar battleships, until suddenly, they switched to the Myrmidon leaving many to speculate on the decision making. As the Myrmidon fell, all missiles went back on the Abaddons, the match becoming a race to see who would fall first, IKILU seemingly with the clear upperhand.

As the Nighthawk piloted by Wardockk fell, the chances seemed slim that The Ice, pilot of the lone remaining GODS ship would be able to finish the two remaining IKILU battleships and the Firetail. And then the improbable started looking faintly possible as the first Abaddon went down, this one piloted by Wordan.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m3-3.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

In a move that was questioned early on, the GODS Nighthawks closed distance with the heavy damage-dealing battleships. This move appeared to be ineffective due to the webs that were used by the Abaddons made the Nighthawks easy to hit. In a bold move, The Ice flew his ship right up next to the Abaddon flown by Joder, decreasing the damage from the battleship to almost zero. The Nighthawk’s missiles and smartbombs never stopping, armor seemed to melt away slowly as the faintly possible started to look like it was going to happen. Capacitor looked to be an issue as well, as the Abaddon stopped fire for a short time allowing the Command ship to continue its work.

The Republic Fleet Firetail piloted by Mini Instructorcon removed the Nighthawk’s mircowarp drive from the equation with the constant warp scramble he was able to apply, but the small craft would do little else but watch as the victory slipped away from IKILU. In the closing minutes, Abaddon and Firetail fell in what had to be one of the most exciting moments of this tournament.

Cry Havoc. vs The Five

Reported By: ISD Zachary Zain

The Five [.5.] trounce Cry Havoc [C H] as they proceed to the quarter finals.

Cry Havoc.: 6 Ishkur | 2 Paladin | 2 Golem
The Five: 5 Stabber Fleet Issue | 3 Nighthawk | Caldari Navy Hookbill | Ishkur

The match started with a swarm of Hobgoblin II and Hornet EC-300 drones, as [.5.] went straight for the Ishkurs of the [C H] team. It was not long before the first Ishkur flown by Kel Solaar was destroyed by the [.5.] team, he was closely followed by his team mates danneh and Saesi Bomba.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m4-3.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The first casualty for [.5.] was the Ishkur flown by Vortik that was destroyed for a boundary violation. The next casualty for [.5.] was Dark1 when he lost his Stabber Fleet Issue, but by this time the [C H] team had lost all 6 of their Ishkurs and it was only a matter of time before they lost the rest of their fleet.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m4-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

We spoke to Natsuki of [.5.] after the match and asked her why [.5.] had decided on the Stabber Fleet Issue as the bulk of their fleet, "We expected Cry Havoc to bring something that would counter our Caldari damp setups, so we switched it up a bit. The Stabbers are fast and not vulnerable to counters of damping." When asked if she felt they now had a good chance of getting to the final she replied "Yea, general feeling is that cry havoc was by far the most difficult team on our side of the tournament, I think we have a very good chance of at least making it to the finals." Our last question to Natsuki was to ask who she felt would be in the final, "I want to fight Star fraction in the finals [smiles]...[but] Us vs AAA."

HUZZAH FEDERATION vs Agony Empire

Reported By: ISD Clarity Brown

HUZZAH FEDERATION had little to cheer about after Agony Empire held the field in this hard-fought match using a fleet of "mini-carriers" - Dominixes with sentry drones, neutralizers and smartbombs.

HUZZAH FEDERATION: Damnation | 2 Ishtar | 6 Stabber Fleet Issue | Vigil
Agony Empire: 5 Dominix | 2 Vigil

The Agony Empire Dominixes were set up right in the centre of the arena, prepared to go close-range with their neuts and smartbombs or long with their sentries. HUZZAH FEDERATION set their stabbers a small distance back from the centre point, giving themselves space and time to get moving and build some angular velocity relative to the enemy before getting into the fire range of any heavy dps. Both sides set their frigates back, to use their e-war with as little interference as could be managed.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m5-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The ECM Burst was fired to start the match, and Secluse (Vigil, Agony Empire) raced off at full speed with HUZZAH FEDERATION Stabber Fleet Issues in full pursuit. He wasn't quite fast enough, however, and became the first casualty of the match.

The Agony Empire Dominixes laid out a swarm of sentry drones. With the extra range the stabbers had put between them and the drones, which reduced their angular velocity and therefore made them easier for the sentries to track, coupled with Ash Vincetti's Vigil target painting him and bloating his signature radius, Gillman's and Spanjab's Stabber Fleet Issues (HUZZAH FEDERATION) were easy prey, but they and their compatriots managed to kill Ash Vincetti.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m5-3.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

As the Stabber Fleet Issues turned to come back at the Dominixes, Lucututerian's Stabber Fleet Issue moved face first into incoming fire and was obliterated. The remaining HUZZAH ships closed in on Torisia Steele's Dominix. She fired her smartbombs, damaging the drones of her own side but taking out many of the enemys' drones in the process, and unlike the Stabber Fleet Issues and the Damnation on HUZZAH's team, the Dominixes had spare drone bay capacity for a second flight. Her Dominix was the first Agony Empire battleship to fall, but the balance of damage potential remaining on the field had swung strongly to Agony Empire's favour.

Ion Bartzabel lost his Ishtar (HUZZAH) while Agony Empire marshalled their drones and ordered the wilful little robots to focus their fire on Harvey Fud's Stabber Fleet Issue. Adril Alatar (Vigil, HUZZAH) and Thigmoo (Ishtar, HUZZAH) were the next frigate casualties before the drones started pounding on Olex Grant's, then Suppenknecht's Stabber Fleet Issues (HUZZAH).

Sashenka, the last surviving HUZZAH pilot, managed to finish off Bazman's Dominix (Agony Empire), and then backed away and struggled to pick off another target while staying alive as long as possible. For a full 5 minutes, the Agony Empire Dominixes tried to take down the tough Damnation command ship with drones and energy neutralisers. When it finally succumbed, Agony Empire were left with Hsu Li., Midorisan and Gallovidia on the field in their Dominixes, victorious.

Ev0ke vs The Star Fraction

Reported By: ISD Amaari Yolkia

Ev0ke (EV0KE) secured their entry to the next round following a tight match against The Star Fraction (-SF-).

Ev0ke: 1 Abaddon | 1 Damnation | 7 Stabber Fleet Issue | 1 Vigil
The Star Fraction: 1 Dominix | Caracal Navy Issue

The match commenced with a stampede of EV0KE vessels from the centre of the arena towards their Caracal Navy Issue targets positioned some distance away. Meanwhile –SF- launched enormous waves of missiles towards their oncoming rivals, while also spreading out in every direction.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m6-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The EV0KE Stabbers were unable to reach their opponents before sustaining losses, as they as saw their teammate DrRockIT fall. Revenge was not far away, as soon after they destroyed Tara Armitage’s Caracal Navy Issue.

Both sides continued to trade losses until EV0KE gained the upper hand, successfully destroying the Dominix piloted by Heartstone. -SF- was now in terminal decline, unable to recover from their losses as their ships were systematically eliminated. The match concluded with EV0KE holding the field, with an Abaddon, a Damnation, a Stabber Fleet Issue, and a Vigil.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m6-3.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

RainE Daze, a member of the EV0KE fleet, spoke about the reasons for their success: “Hard to say really. We were fortunately able to bring enough damage to the caracals even thought they manoeuvred really well. I think that's what ultimately won it for us.”

On The Star Fraction side Jade Constantine commented: “I think we probably drew the worst case team to fight against given our loadout - but even so we put up a decent show in the circumstances. We got a little unlucky with the boundary violation loss but ultimately it was a good clean fight and Evoke had the better setup on the day. Congratulations to them.”

Against ALL Authorities vs Cult of War

Reported By: ISD Magnus Balteus

Cult of War won their match against Against ALL Authorities without suffering any losses.

Against ALL Authorities: 4 Rokh | 2 Crow | 1 Vulture
Cult of War: 6 Caracal Navy Issue | 2 Sleipnir | 1 Huginn

The match began with the [-COW-] Caracal Navy Issues quickly gaining range and deploying large amounts of Warrior drones. The four [-.A.-] Rokhs remained in place and started a spider cap transfer chain.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m7-1.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

[-COW-] immediately took out the two Crows, leaving [-.A.-] with the four Rokhs and a Vulture. Military analysts believed that the spider tank of the Rokhs coupled with the bonuses afforded by the Vulture would drag the match to time as a stalemate seemed to be forming.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m7-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

[.-A-.]Bra2ha’s technical difficulties and subsequent departure from the arena was the turning point as the Rokh cap chain was disrupted. [-COW-] seized on the opportunity and took out ONEGO’s Rokh, followed by Unblighter’s and Schyzotrop’s.

With only a Vulture left to face the entire complement of [-COW-], Against ALL Authorities’ tournament hopes were soon destroyed along with Sulla Felix’s ship.

The Wrong Alliance vs Pandemic Legion

Reported By: ISD Caiden S'or

Pandemic Legion [-10.0] advances as they defeat The Wrong Alliance [ERROR].

The Wrong Alliance: Nighthawk| Hurricane| Vexor| Caracal Navy Issue|6 Stabber Fleet Issue
Pandemic Legion: 5 Ishtar|2 Drake|2 Vigil

In yet another match in the final day of tournament play, it was not until the closing minutes that it became apparent -10.0 would emerge victorious and be moving on to the next round. As in many of the matches fought today, drones deployed at the beginning of the match appeared to pave the way for the meat of the fight as they helped clear the field of the smaller craft. At this stage of competition, few mistakes are made in deployment and assignment of drones, and have led to few surprises today.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m8-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

Two of the ERROR Stabber Fleet Issue ships were destroyed in between the destruction of two -10.0 Ishtars in the opening minute of the match. Favour seem to swing in the direction of ERROR early though, as the -10.0 Vigils fell, one being removed from play for a boundary violation. Battle continued on as each side lost ships, trading damage.

Six minutes into the match, two -10.0 Drakes and an Ishtar were left to fend off the attacking ERROR Nighthawk, Caracal Navy Issue, Vexor, and two Stabber Fleet Issue ships. Drones playing a large part in the equation at this point, the Warrior II’s being used by were able to help track down and kill the two ERROR Stabber Fleet Issue ship one right after the other at nearly the same time the -10.0 Ishtar was destroyed.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m8-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

Nine minutes into the match left only two -10.0 Drakes and an ERROR Nighthawk, Caracal Navy Issue and Vexor left to pound away at each other. Nearly even and still completely undecided at this point, the tanking abilities of the Caldari ships would be the story as the ERROR Vexor fell to heavy fire closely followed by the Caracal Navy Issue.
In a standoff that proved to close to call until the the final explosion, the ERROR Nighthawk exploded, leaving the -10.0 Drakes to claim the field.

R.U.R. vs Unaffiliated

Reported By: ISD Clarity Brown

R.U.R. continued an excellent performance in this tournament, taking a fast and bloody victory over Unaffilliated's armor-tanking, projectile fleet.

R.U.R.: Harbinger | Hurricane | 4 Omen Navy Issue | Rapier | 3 Rupture
Unaffiliated: Damnation | 3 Hurricane | 2 Rupture | 3 Stabber Fleet Issue | Thrasher

Even before the referee signalled the start of the match, it was obvious that the early minutes would be carnage. Both teams had their entire fleet right in the centre of the arena, hungry for the other's blood.

R.U.R.'s Rapier, flown by Charakerowitch, was an immediate primary for Unaffiliated, taking its webs and the danger they posed to Unaffiliated's Stabber Fleet Issues straight out of the match. R.U.R. went for the most immediately vulnerable damage dealer on the opposing team: Kyran Dussalt's Stabber Fleet Issue. Right on the heels of that kill, R.U.R. picked off Anvalor in his Thrasher, then kasbah's and NeoFusion's Stabber Fleet Issues.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m9-1.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

Unaffiliated's ships were popping like bubbles in a Sansha battlestation. With the Stabbers gone, R.U.R. went for the Ruptures - Daddyhotep Kanin, then Dr ThC were swiftly floating in pearlescent orbs, reinforcing the bubble image. But Unaffiliated were not broken yet - a powerful effort from the team ripped apart Smolarev's Harbinger. The Harbinger (known affectionately to pilots as a "Harby" or the "Special Hoverbus") is a very potent damage dealer with tough armor defences, but its destruction was too far into the match to benefit Unaffiliated overmuch.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m9-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

R.U.R.'s Omen Navy Issues focused their lasers and energy vampires on the Hurricanes next: Pembo and obeytwan went one after the other; Jack Soul put up a solid defence but melted seconds later.

With only Filz in his Damnation left on the field for Unaffiliated after just over 3 minutes, a long chase began. Filz kept the command ship alive for as long as he could, but the capacitor neutralising capability of the Omen Navy Issues, combined with their intense laserpower, melted through the Khanid ship's armor in just over two and a half minutes.

Eight members of the R.U.R. team survived: Disintegrator (Hurricane), Rythalia, Mormir, Rira Vanga, DeltaTeam (Omen Navy Issye), Samice, Palolko Dwimer and Sairait (Rupture).

G00DFELLAS vs The Five

Reported By: ISD Amaari Yolkia

G00DFELLAS (G0DS) slaughtered their opponents The Five (.5.) in the second quarter final match.

G00DFELLAS: 5 Nighthawk | 4 Ishkur | 1 Ares
The Five: 3 Sleipnir | 2 Nighthawk | 5 Ishkur

Waves of missiles and drones marked the start of the match, as both sides started to assault the numerous command ships on the field. Alexis Steele’s Sleipnir (.5.) was the first to fall, quickly followed up by a Nighthawk piloted by De Morgean (G0DS).

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m10-2.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

By now all the ships and drones were spread all over the arena, this would not prevent G0DS from responding to their first loss by destroying not one, but two ships belonging to their rivals. The Five were visibly determined to strike back as they furiously attempted to destroy Tzuko1’s Nighthawk.

However he was clearly not willing to go without a fight, as he manoeuvred wildly to avoid the fire aimed towards his vessel. Unable to destroy the target on which they focused, The Five found their fleet being disassembled piece by piece until none remained.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m10-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

G0DS successfully took an improbably easy victory in the quarter finals without taking any additional losses. Tigertex, team captain for .5., commented on why they were defeated given the similar fleet configurations: “We rushed are setup a little, and they had better electronic warfare tactics than ours, but they had good fleet commander and good pilots, so there was no shame in losing to them.”

On the G0DS side Tzuko1 spoke about their chances against R.U.R. in their upcoming match: “well, I think we have now a very good setup and maybe the R.U.R. don’t know how to kill us. - I hope we will have a similar victory just like before.”

Agony Empire vs Ev0ke

Reported By: ISD Caiden S'or

Evoke [EVOKE] remains strong as they defeat a tough Agony Empire [AGONY] team.

Evoke: Abaddon | Damnation | 3 Omen Navy Issue | 4 Stabber Fleet Issue | Vigil
Agony Empire: 5 Dominix | 2 Vigil

An EVOKE Omen Navy Issue was the first ship to fall as the match began. More telling as a deciding factor in this fight, however, was the first casualty of the match for AGONY, a Dominix. Following the destruction of the first AGONY ship was the second Omen Navy Issue piloted by an EVOKE pilot. The EVOKE team focus their fire on each Dominix in turn, four Stabber Fleet Issue ships and drones orbiting the targeted victim, use of painters and drones adding to the already heavy fire of the Abaddon.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m11-1.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

Vigils on both sides did their job painting targets, and Dominix webbers slowed the EVOKE Stabber Navy Issues down, but not enough to remove them from the match. One by one, the AGONY battleships succumbed to the concerted fire of the EVOKE ships in the end, leaving only an AGONY Vigil piloted by Ash Vincetti no other option than to self destruct to end the match.

http://www.eve-ic.net/media/forums/at6/day6/d6m11-4.pngPlease visit your user settings to enable images.

The EVOKE Abaddon piloted by Judge Them remained relatively untouched throughout the match and his ship stayed out of the center of battle and fired upon the AGONY ships. Aided by the target painters, though maybe hampered a bit by range, this ship provided the killing power needed to quickly dispose of the battleships.

Evoke joins the final four teams in the semi finals on this final day of tournament play.

Cult of War lose to Pandemic Legion in a thrilling quarter-final match.

Cult of War: 6 Caracal Navy Issue | 2 Sleipnir | 1 Huginn

Alliance Tournament newcomers R.U.R (RUR) have locked in their place to the finals after an exceptionally tight match against G00DFELLAS (G0DS).

R.U.R.: 1 Hurricane | 1 Harbinger | 4 Omen Navy Issue | 1 Rapier | 2 Rupture
G00DFELLAS: 5 Nighthawk | 4 Ishkur | 1 Ares

RUR opened the match with a deadly assault on Nighthawk pilot The Ice, crippling his defences through the combined use of neutralisers and statis webifiers until he utterly capitulated. G0DS swiftly responded to the unceremonious destruction of their teammate by removing Charakterowitch’s Rapier from proceedings.

G0DS kept the upper hand for some time, as they continued on their destructive path annihilating two of their rivals Ruptures, before taking any further losses of their own. RUR were being successfully hindered by the scattering of their opponents around the arena, but now they had reached their target Tsuko1 who was promptly relieved of his ship.

The match had now become a race, could RUR manage to reach each of their opponents before G0DS are able to finish them off. It looked very close, that is until one G0DS pilot made what was likely a fatal error.

He flew out of the arena, which under the rules of the tournament resulted in the immediate destruction of his ship. Despite a strong attempt by the remaining G0DS team members to recover from this mistake, they were unable, until eventually all their ships were eliminated. The newcomers RUR had reached the final, holding the field with a Hurricane, a Harbringer, and two Omen Navy Issue.

Elsinaril, team captain for the R.U.R., was clearly confident in his team’s performance: “It was our FC for sure this time, but the teamwork was great as well. We had the necessary nerve, and insolence.”

While Tzuko1 as pleased that his alliance had made it so far: “this is our first ally tournament so it not so bad to reach [the] top 4 teams - I hope we got the 3rd place.”

Reported By: ISD Magnus Balteus

Pandemic Legion advances to Finals with win over Ev0ke.

Pandemic Legion: 7 Vexor Navy Issue | 1 Claymore | 1 Sleipnir | 1 Hyena
Ev0ke: 4 Stabber Fleet Issue | 3 Omen navy Issue | 1 Abaddon | 1 Damnation | 1 Vigil

Lux Aeterna’s Vigil became the first casualty of the match as both teams raced towards each other, drones in flight along side.

Despite the heavier damage dealt by the Omen Navy Issues, Pandemic Legion decided to focus on the Stabber Fleet Issues of WoNkY, Treaton Rhumburac and RainE Daze.

On the opposite side of the fight, Ev0ke favored an attack on Shamis Orziz’s Claymore. This decision to focus on the heavily tanked ship cost them the match as they ignored the blasters and drones of the Vexor Navy Issues.

With the Claymore down, Ev0ke finally began to work on the Vexors and succeeded in destroying |Corax|’s before losing their last Stabber and the first of their Omens.

Jessickah’s Vexor fell as Pandemic Legion began a destruction run clearing out the last of the Omens, the Vigil and the Abaddon.

Ev0ke managed to take out Mr Rive’s Vexor before Roter Baron’s Damnation fell, ending the match for Ev0ke.

R.U.R. vs Pandemic Legion

Reported By: ISD Amaari Yolkia

Pandemic Legion (-10.0) is crowned victorious after beating R.U.R. (RUR) in grand final match that represented just how strongly fought the tournament has been.

Pandemic Legion: 1 Sleipnir | 1 Claymore | 7 Vexor Navy Issue | 1 Hyena
R.U.R.: 1 Abaddon | 9 Caracal Navy Issue

The final match of Alliance Tournament Six opened with Pandemic Legion flying in a deadly formation towards their foes, while R.U.R. fired a hailstorm of missiles towards one of their member. WarGod did not last long under the onslaught brought upon him, and he quickly fell under fire. However, Pandemic legion quickly sought revenge in their first kill, a Caracal Navy Issue piloted by Shivaja.

The arena quickly filled with wrecks, both sides took heavy losses as it became near impossible to predict who would emerge the victor. Eventually only two Pandemic Legion command ships remained, while RUR survived with a Caracal Navy Issue and an Abaddon. They attempted to destroy the Claymore piloted by Shamis Orzoz, but found it tough to beat as they found their Caracal in dire straits.

The Abaddon fought desperately, attempting to fend off the two command ships hounding it. Despite nearly catching out the Claymore with a statis webifier, it was unable to continue as it slowly saw its armour depleted. Pandemic Legion ended the match with both their command ships intact taking the title of Alliance Tournament Champions with them.

Shamis Orzor, chief fleet commander for Pandemic Legion, commented on how they beat R.U.R.: “They brought a good counter for our team. The only reason we won is because we had so many good fleet commanders on our team, [and] we were able to seamlessly transition when 1 fleet commander died.” When asked how teams wishing to enter next year should prepare, he simply said: “Practice. Have multiple FC's per team. And stay calm.”

After the match team captain for R.U.R., Elsinaril, commented: “I would like to thank to our team pilots, they fight with their very heart, and they know how do they job. The final result was on a brink of hair, there were seconds which decided.” He went on to confirm they will be back again next year: “No doubt, we will be back again, we have some unfinished business with the PL after all.”

... while NeoFusion's fast, heavily-gunned Sabre (Firmus Ixion) chased after 11Ghost11's Kitsune, popping it after a few seconds of pursuit.

Just a couple of corrections, my alliance is Unaffiliated and I didn't manage to get a shot off on the Kitsune as he had me perma-jammed, just kept him occupied while Fre'ki in a Caracal took him out. I tried though. :)
