As it goes... Goons used CCP's game mechanics to undermine an entire alliance. People should not be angry or upset at the GOons... but at CCP for allowing the 'Alliance OFF Button' with no timer or evemail warning.
When I can't even leave a Corp and join another until my roles (if any) are cleared after 24 hours!!! Get rid of that ABSURD timer than!

It is often the most SIMPLE bugs that causes the MOST damage.
Sure, ISK theft is one thing, but sov of an entire alliance shifted in one mouse click is ABSURD.

I'm not even skilled enough to join in the wars out there, but I know one thing: those out in nullsec have a desire for combat. This won't be the "end" of anything, just a reorganization of sides. Who's going to stay on Goonswarm's side? Who's going to begin forging the new great alliance to fight against them? Power vacuums don't last... someone will step up. Bets on who will be the next Goonswarm (now that Goonswarm is the new BoB)? |

As i said before this was a valid win for the goons.
They've been dealt with. Nice one. Eve is better off without them. The Goons gave a hero his chance at heroism and he took it. Willingly. |

So the GBC had this great big dinner party in NOL, everyone was invited and having a grand ol' time.
Then all of a sudden one of the guests let Goons in through the back door and somehow managed to convince everyone to go outside for a minute.
After that he proceeds to lock himself and the Goons inside so that we could feast on their giant smorgasbord.
Now we're basically ransacking the house while some are peltering the confused dinner guests outside with club sandwiches and faeces from the top floor.

True, accept for the Goons not being in the position to give are take anything... If the director would have said to sod off, nothing would have happened. Though I can imagine it must have been a hoot to watch it happen front row. Though.... something else to claim it as their own devices... That's not entirely true... rather enitrely not.... But heck, other than that, I can see where you're coming from. |
