well reading through all your opinions, I'd agree with most. Except the one that claimed that being civilized makes you aware of your actions... which is uh... troll bait judging by whats happening in the world these days, i wouldn't be in a hurry to call our \Species\ civilized. i don't think the producer of that show let those two guys know what was going to happen, it's one thing to get slapped when you know you're going to get slapped, and it's another when it takes you by surprise and reflex takes over. that woman slapped him quite hard at first. I'll agree, it was poor impulse control on behalf of that guy's part. suing the the producers and the woman would've netted him a better result than having his ass kicked by a lynch mob. Being humiliated on TV, slapped and having the **** beat out of you is still... ouch :p I'd never take part in such a game show, it's frighteningly reminiscent of Idiocracy |

And screw double standards. Many women these days are more chauvinistic than men are. And i do consider myself a feminist |

Feminism is such a broad term, trying to define it is like trying to put up a dam in the Pacific Ocean.
Anyway from the second video I would assume the dude knew what he was in for. Abuse and humility. The woman was just doing her job. :P |

Everyone knows that no matter what is said and done, generaly speaking women are weaker then men. Therefore no i would not have hit her back. However, as akita said (i think it was akita) how hard is it to just intercept her mid swing? or even dodge back...
But on an even broader scope, i will defend myself if attacked and while women may generaly be weaker that is not to say with proper training etc they are weak. Therefore if ever i was attack by a woman and actually felt threatened, i'd put her down just as hard as any man.
there. I think that covers all bases. |

Edited by: Kyguard on 04/02/2009 04:29:19 The problem here is that after he slapped her, his brain finally caught on past his impulse on what had just happened and he started moving forward as if he had just gotten into a gang fight in school with some kid. The anchor basically had to hold him back from going back to hit her again.
Self-defence is one thing and he had every right to slap her back (whether a man should hit a woman or not is another thing) and then that's it, but he was looking for a fight when he really should have been looking for a way not to get his ass stomped.
Edit: Poster above me said it right. If you are attacked, not only do you have a right to defend yourself, you should defend yourself regardless of the gender of the attacker. Women can cause as much damage as a man can and thinking they're all delicate flowers that shouldn't be touched is just plain stupid. Now, you have to use common sense at the same time, if you're a 6'2" guy like me and a woman half my size starts apathetically pushing me then.. well I do deserve to get mobbed if I hit back. |

As for the douche in the pink shirt and the cargo pants (not the one is suspenders). If I was in the audience I would have taken his ****ing knees out. That is one little, pathetic, band wagon, ***** there.

Man is driving, runs over a woman. Whos at fault, and why ?
The man for driving in the kitchen. Edit: the woman deserved a slap back, seriously. Second Edit: God damn you already answered it. |
