Ok, I heard the match but someone give me the tl;dr summary of who hates who and why here? And what the heck FOOM have to do with it?

Tada O was one of the founding corporations of BRUCE and played a major part in getting BRUCE established in Syndicate. The management styles of BRUCE and Tada O were horribly incompatible and Tada O was tossed out of BRUCE. Tada O went on to form The Honda Accord and proceeded to forget about the sadness of BRUCE. For some reason FREED and some of the other "Ghosts of Failed BRUCE" still have an axe to grind, got a spy on our team (because by now we figured bygones are bygones and trusted Happy) Happy the spy tried to assasinate me when the match started.

I am going to say the concept was great but the execution was horrible and in the end our team still went on to win.

So Happy didn't matter, he lost a ship and 300 mil in implants when he couldn't comply with the GM's instructions and was podded.

Just another day in space,

Honestly, I could not give a rats ass as to whether or not Honda continues. That was not the purpose of this exercise.
I do not speak for FOOM, but I believe we did it because it was funny as hell for us and to enact some late revenge for the really stupid things Issler did in Bruce. You all want to keep dwelling on it, thats fine. Our point was made, our wallets are fine, and we had a jolly good time. Very Happy

tl;dr

We really do care, so we feel the need to post to clarify things. We lost more isk value and effectively didn't matter (because they still won and our spy didn't even do the most damage to a target he was setup to kill), but we can laugh at anything if we try hard enough.

So BRUCE was a horrible alliance, The Honda Accord is a horrible alliance, there was an "assassination" of someone no one cares about, and this is all incredibly relevant.

Did I miss anything?

This is hilariously sad.

Half-assed assassination, crap dmg from the mail, and begging for reimbursement afterwards.

You did not simply warp once and then get podded - you were moved to a beacon, warped to a gate, and asked again to not move and you did not comply. You were podded in accordance with tournament rules. Therefore, your implants will not be reimbursed.

Um, really? OK. Don't remember seeing the teleport at all. Was this before or after the ship blew up? Because as soon as I saw I was in my pod, I for some reason didn't think of the exit beacon. I warped to the single gate in the system (habit, I guess, warp to some celestial to get out of the battle zone). Then I was busy for a few minutes with various convo's and setting a new skill (the last one just finished - great timing). At that time a GM (name withheld) came over and said to move to the exit, but by the time I noticed it he was in the process of podding me. Other than that one single warp I did, I didn't move or hit any sort of movement commands. I donít remember any ďstay stillĒ orders, and I checked my logs, it was defiantly:
Quote:

[ 2009.01.31 16:29:18 ] GM XXXXX > Happy Joymaker warp to the exit beacon
[ 2009.01.31 16:29:26 ] GM XXXXX > Or you will be podded

Podding happened about 3 minutes later. No pod mail, so not sure of the actual time (guess I could check the logs to see when the session change happened if it is important).

I am not fighting. Not arguing at all. A set of +4's and some missile implants that I bought just for this fight are not worth it. This is just an internet spaceship game after all, and the 300-odd mil I can earn back in a day or so of Jita trading. I am just curious is all, because from how I am reading what youíre saying isn't jiving with what I saw and did? Could I have missed the teleport? Yes, easily. I was rather distracted at the moment. I donít think I did miss it, but it is a definite possibility particularly if you didnít use the Cyno graphic. I also freely admit to warping to the gate on accident and missing the request to move to the exit beacon until too late. However, as to moving or not moving once I was there, it did not happen. I didnít notice that someone was shooting me until I saw the pod shields and armor going; then ended up in the system I was jumped to the Tournament grounds from, not my normal clone station, all before I could react. It wasnít until after that I even realized it was a GM that shot me and not a member of the Honda Accord that warped to me as I originally assumed (I was in gang still).

I do apologize for going to the wrong spot, definitely my bad there. However, if there is more to it than that and I did another warp or some other movement, something that perhaps might be a mechanic issue, I would appreciate the chance to help fix it or to better understand what happened. Because other than what I freely admitted above, I donít believe any game rules were broken, and definitely none were done intentionally or maliciously. It is my opinion that CCP has done a great job with EVE, there is no other game that can compare to it, and if there is a chance to help improve it, I will gladly spend some of my time to do so.

BTW, as the drama llama is really what this thread is about, feel free to evemail me or convo me in game to help keep this clean for folks to brag, cry, or whatever. Far as I am concerned, the event & the minor issue of the implants are past and over. I am far more interested in improving the game than helping with the forum wars.

I want to say that the honda accord did a really nice job of keeping some of our BS's damped down and range on them to keep them from locking them. Congratz on your win and we wish that the drama that happened had not. We came into the turny to have fun and we did as I hope that your guys did.

I think most people did have fun. I was still on their vent, and it wasn't until well along/after the fight was mostly over that most of the Honda folks realised what had happened - the reason I did the 2nd typing in local that got me smacked down for half an hour. The fact that they still won in the end they really are rejoicing about, as I think they have a right to do. Probably the only person that didn't have fun was Issler, who, after all, was the target (not the Honda Accord).

Personally, I would love to see a rematch on test. Both of your alliances are fairly even I would guess, being industrial based. The BB that Honda came up with was pure genious, with both shield extenders and plates, to make it a pure damage soak. Doubt it will ever work for them again, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few alliances come up with similar concepts in future events.

The jams you guys landed were downright wicked - I had to relock 3 times as I only had one single ECCM installed. Issler indicated that she never even got a single shot off.

Overall, it was an an event that will be remembered in EVE lore that I think all involved with can be glad to have had fun in being a part thereof.

Oh, and a couple of folks were glad to see Pie Eyed is still around. He has tought many folks how to mine over the years, despite his joining of the Caldari Militia.... ;)

So it's okay for a GM to bring up private petition answers out in the open with being asked or given permission??

How could I not have had a blast! Seeing the latest epic BRUCE fail and my team do so well. It hardly gets better! Especially once I learned that the Happy stunt made no difference in my experience. I was primary and my doom was destined to happen. Kill mail says it all. Frater had my number. Props to them!

And seeing the late whining about the GM call and a sad attempt to rewrite the early contributions of Tada O to BRUCE just makes my smile even bigger!

Great time, thanks Dead Bruce Shop for making our first attempt at the Eve PvP tournament something that will stand out in the history of Eve!

This is one CEO that is all smiles!

Very Happy this was hardly an GHSC-esque assassination, cause if it was they would have infiltrated the both teams fully and THA alliance. and on the moment the tourney began,
Cleaned it out kiled sizzler in one volley and ceased fire as soon as she was in pod.

Did I miss something? There's really no information except to say the implants won't be reimbursed and why. Which was the subject of a question posted by Happy in this thread.

I couldn't see anything else that might have been private in a petition, or that I couldn't have gathered from this thread.

If it was petitioned then Claw shouldn't have said anything, at least not specific to this case.

That going by CCP's standard procedure which is subject to change at their whim so w/e.

I've been warped by ccp guys on the test server before, its actually kind of easy to miss their warnings. Personally I'd have had local chat minimised and have always had blink off.

Not that it matters, Claw has spoken there will be no more done about it.
