Anyway I don't think boB thought their clever decision all the way through, we had tons of goons resub. Thanks to this we probably gained 100-200 more active pilots thanks molle :)
I took a wee look at the posts the Goonies made when Molle announced that the GBC would be swinging by their space. Personally I was impressed by the spunk the goonies showed in that thread, and was salivating at the prospect of a clash of superior numbers vs experience. It might surprise you to know that I was genuinely looking forward to the resurgence of Goonfleet. We all like winning against superior numbers, at the end of the day. When Molle made his post, and announced the intention to set the autopilot for Goonieland we heard great things about what Goons would accomplish now that they've had 3 years to skill up and get buff. Hundreds resubscribed, and it sounded as if we were finally going to get the battle royale of Eve. Fast forward a few weeks, and despite having stupendous membership numbers Goon participation is pitifully low, infighting is painfully high and the NC are now left reluctantly picking up the slack. I'm curious as to what went wrong? So, dear CAOD, what's your analysis as to why Goonies are laying low currently - low morale, or tactical concealment? |

Goonswarm was always the biggest paper tiger of EVE. This war has finally proven it. They said that AAA wouldn't last long in this war, but it turned out that Goonswarm itself burned out sooner. That's where dedication comes in and the will to win. Goonswarm lacks both. |
