FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On January 1, 2009, a small force of capitals and their support from Morsus Mihi reinforced all POSes belonging to the Combined Planetary Union in southern Venal.

A few days later, a fleet made up of members of The Initiative, mostly composed of our former allies in STK Scientific, arrived to reinforce our POSes in northern Venal as well. We were able to persuade them to let us take down the POSes rather than wasting time destroying them, but this event still left us homeless.

As a result of these events, most of the active corps in CPU left the alliance. Our membership is desperately low now, and we have lost what space we had. We have no choice but to accept the inevitable and disband, allowing all our remaining member corporations to go their separate ways. All our ships, POSes and personnel have already been moved to Empire, and all that remains is for our member corps to leave the alliance.

CPU will live on in name, maintained by a single holding corp, in case we should ever see an opportunity to resurrect it; however, at present we see neither a reason nor an opportunity to do so. We had a good run for a small alliance, including some heady days as an honest-to-God sov-holding outpost-owning alliance in Branch back in '07. It's a shame it couldn't last, but we know when to call it quits.

To our former members, colleagues, and allies, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. The alliance may be gone but its members and corps go on in other places, hopefully finding new and exciting opportunities elsewhere in New Eden.

Fare well and fly safe,
Kesper North

Thanks to the allies who stuck by our side in the different adventures we had throughout the years.

Wasn't a easy decision to come to, but you gotta know when to throw in the towel. Activity level within the alliance was super low, and come on, no one likes being in Venal of all regions.

As Kesper said, CPU will live on only in name. Most of the remaining active members have a plan which is currently being worked on.

Again thanks for the great times CPU.

I would like to officially announce that foundati0n is indeed not dead, we are continually growing and have bashed Red Alliance in the head for thinking they can take Great wildlands from us, we are now helping our allies in the south against GBC and having a great time Smile

EDIT: Good luck CPU in whatever you do next o7

Actually Venal is a pretty good region to live in. You get russians to shoot (XXX, WN) and you can make isk ratting or doing gurista missioning rather fast.

The problem is you aligned yourself with Vanguard. Now we didnt come to reinforce all your posses in northern Venal. We went to reinforce Vanguard posses, found we were short on firepower for the TS large they had and figured we'd shoot your med Shadow instead before reinforcing a small vanguard tower. Of course when you said you were pulling it down anyways, we let you pull it down.

BTW, Vanguard one of the most worthless alliances in 0.0. When they were camping the PF- station and a red jumped in and said "snowball fight in local" they all docked up. Unless they had more then 3 to 1 odds, they would not undock. They do have some decent players in the corp ISLE though. But if all the players from Vanguard droped out of eve, the happiest people would be the pirate factions....because there ships wouldnt be killed any more.

The winners write the history i guess Wink

Good politics on your side Slayton, always aligning with the strongest power in the pf-/p-v pocket (how often did you change "allies", 3 or 4 times in the last couple of month?). I think finally aligning with the NC by joining The Ini was the right move for you. Now you have most of Venal to yourself to farm & moonmine in peace :)

As for Vanguard, we will survive and look for other opportunities, but its a fact of current 0.0-life that you cannot survive&prosper (unless you are a 24/7 pvp only) if you are not aligned with a power block. Hopefully that will change this year if ccp finally decides to change 0.0 sov mechanics...

Three or four times? I know that you guys like to think that we partnered up with Evoke, however we did not. They were never blue.

When we arrived in Venal we had no allies. The ones we made were the same ones you guys had in our little coalition. When we pulled out of the coalition in protest of Vanguard we again had no allies. We were and still are quite capable of success and prosperity on our own if need be.

We are now flying along side some old friends with INIT and enjoying it very much.

So by my count we've changed allies one time since our time in Venal despite what ever Motoko has been telling you guys.

Yet another example of Vanguard's failure. Failure to count.

You know, Evoke was the best neighbors to have in PF-. They would always be around for pvp. We never had to worry about station campign or pos warfare and they even came down and asked for some 6v6 cruiser fights (which was educational for us).
