Remember today as the day democracy died in Canada. The governor general has allowed the government to escape a confidence vote, a key part of our democratic process, by proroguing Parliament.Well I don't care who's fault it is. Now Canada's economy is really in jeopardy because nothing has been done about it. Canada is now like a ship in danger with no commander to close to the rocks. A very dangerous precedent has been set today, and I hope our economy weathers the next two months of inaction that are the result

I think this thread *MIGHT* just take a teeny tiny step over the line in terms of political discussions in the EVE forums. Possibly.

It's like being on a plane at nearly 10km altitude in the middle of nowhere somewhere far away from land over the ocean because the navigation computer is defective and has been flying the aircraft in wide circles, the fuel is critically low but the needle was stuck on half-full and somebody just found out for sure what the problem actually was AND bumped the fuel needle after a long time of being worried you're not over land yet, then proclaiming "well, NOW we're really in trouble"... nope, you were in trouble ages ago, you just finally became aware of it fully, and there's nothing more you CAN do now except crash and burn (or, well, "crash and splat", whatever), hoping you might actually get to some island or somebody would find you before you all die.

Would it sound weird if I voiced the opinion that so far I think (even though he could have done things years ago but didn't) that Brown is actually doing a good job given what he has to deal with?

Next stage - Annexing Nationalising American Banks for the Treasury?
