Can drop the CPR for another magstab, you're no longer cap stable though. My large hybrid skills are low, so i just went for cap stability. |

Edited by: Jurgen Cartis on 26/11/2008 20:18:04 A slightly gankier version of the above.
LAR II 4x Hardeners (or 3 and an EANM) MFS CPR
2x Cap II 3x Omni
5x 350mm Rail 1x DLA
2x Sentry Drone Rigs
With Garde II and CN AM this gets me 800 DPS using Compressed Coil Railguns. The rep can run near indefinitely with guns off. Tank is moderately lacking, but I tank with my guns.
If you're new to L4s you may want to use the classic brick domi at first. . .
2x LAR II 4x Hardeners 1x PDU
5x Cap II
6x Dual 250mm Rail
2-3x CCC Rig 0-1x Aux Nano Pump
Cap stable with even a modicum of skills and tanks huge amounts of incoming fire. However, brick refers to its speed at completing missions as well as its ability to serve as a damage sponge. |

Isn't wardens the way to go for mission running sentry drones? (best optimal?) |

The long optimal is saddled by poor tracking and damage. They can work of course, but most domi pilots I know prefer Gardes. |

I've had great success with:
Highs: 4x Dread Guristas Dual 250mm Rail Guns (you can pick these up for only 5 mil a piece) 1x Drone Link Augmenter 1x Tractor Beam
Mids: 3x Cap Recharger IIs 1x PWNAGE Target Painter 1x Omni Tracking Link
Lows: 2x LAR IIs 3x Hardeners 1x DCU (Nice having that extra buffer if I lag in the middle of a mission) 1X Cap Power Relay II
Rigs: 2x Sentry Damage
Use a set of Wardens and a set of Gardes with this and whatever you want for the rest of the drones. I like to use antimatter and tungsten with the railguns but whatever floats your boat. One LAR is cap stable with everything else running, and you can cycle the second LAR fairly often if necessary. |

T1 fitted, still VERY nice to use, and apart from the Navy LAR cheap cheap cheap.. Using this in lowsec LVL4 Q20 agents, tanks 700 against Sansha, 500 DPS, Cap stable.
Slow as hell, but most missions don't need travel time. If they do, I swap omni for AB.

That's the fit I use, tanks most Level 4's easily and slaughters them off. Pretty much an AFK boat, it's cap stable unless the RR's/Smartbombs are running aswell as the LARs. Smartbomb is only used if getting swarmed by drones/frigates but more or less is there because I couldn't think of anything better to use myself. 87% resists against the mission so its good at what it does. (T1 Heavies 'cause I can't use T2's yet!)

Initially go for the dual rep brick as mentioned earlier. Eventually aim for this fit, 1000+ dps, reps about 400ish with the guns off.

After you put 3 Omnis on it, even Gardes will reach very good ranges. They'll hit out to 50-60km, with tracking equivalent to a Hyperion's Neutron Blasters. Any other sentry will have an optimal well beyond your control range, so it comes down to effective DPS on whatever they're shooting. Wardens are only really good on Guristas/Serps past Garde range. |

I have both in my domi, Switch between the two depending on the range. 50km or less gardes all the way, past that the wardens come out. |

Didn't I see you post that before? In any case, it still doesn't fit! You not only need a grid implant, but also a cpu implant, even at drones rigging 5! And AWU 5 of course. That is something I think you should mention, unless you want to appear as just another EFT *****. However, if you use faction or even Protest repper, as well as faction magstabs, you can use that at much lower SP without implants for fitting. EW Interfacing is a must though, if you won't fit aug links. I used that fit, with Protests, for a long time back when I was in Gal space. Got a couple of them blown up as well . Sweet ship no doubt. 1x Sentry rig + 2x nano pump sacrifices a little performance for a whole lot more...comfort. Also I don't consider navy ammo worth it on a ship that only gets half of it's dps from it's guns. And there is no way in hell it's worthwhile to use Gardes to 60km with three Omnis, they've got too little falloff for that. 55km tops, though I'd probably stop at 50km, depdnding on the situation of course. I always carry a npc matching set of long range sentries alongside the gardes. |

Is there a rule that I can't post a setup more than once? It does fit, I didn't put dread guristas/caldari navy in front of the rails, my mistake. I got all mine for 10-15mill or so. With these guns, and yes a pg implant, you can get away with AWU IV, with lots of grid to spare to fit the better reppers. CPU fits for me at Drone rigging 4, so not sure what the difference is there, as soon as you put a few factions bits in, hardeners, cap rechargers etc, its not even an issue, my normal fit with 2 drone rigs, (mostly faction mods admitedly) has like 70cpu spare with 1 drone rig your looking at 120. You're right EW interfacing is a must without aug link, but then thats the whole point isn't it, you train up skills so you don't need extra mods. About the rigs, I think you're right, 2 sentry rigs does run you very close to the wire those times you screw the agro or get jammed, CCC and ANP is probably the compromise I'm going with, simply because it lets you keep you're guns running for as long as possible, as you said its 50% of your damage after all... I find the faction ammo gives me that extra alpha against approaching frigates to make sure I one-shot them. Each to their own. |
