So, I've used all of my cruise missiles, and drones (2x Warrior I's.. never needed to train drone skills), and this NPC frigate is still orbiting me at 100% health. Of course, I can't go anywhere since he's warp scrambling me.

Then replace a few of your cruise missile launchers with some light assault launchers, or add some small turrets, or a target painter, or a webber, or fly a different ship, or simply quit running missions. You'll need to do change at least something is you want a different outcome... |

Good to see you have some troubleshooting skills. Nevertheless you should train drone skills.
Everyone should be able to use drones missiles and turrets with decent effectiveness since no one weapon system is ideal in all situations. |

Get a destroyer/caracal and run lv2 missions. Suddenly 2mil SP raven nubs cant run lv4 missions - so all is balanced now i guess. |

eh, why downgrade to a raven?  Faction / Deadspace CNR ftw... what I lack in skills I made up for in ISK, lol. Oh well.. once the main gets some gunnery skills, I was always meaning to train up drone skills  |

Err my Vespa IIs were still killing NPC frigs pretty easily. They take a bit longer vs dire rats but I haven't yet seen a need to switch my loadout from T2 meds + a few repper drones to fix damaged drones.
bringing a ship with a dronebay into a fight without drones is like forgetting to fit launchers in your highslots. you deserve to lose your ship. Just spend the week or whatever to train drones V, spend a couple of extra days getting T2 lights and then be amazed by how much easier things get for you.
whining to CCP about the missile nerf when you don't even have the ability to use 5 drones is beyond ridiculous.
Edit- for somebody with epic pilgrim videos I'd expect you of all people to know the value of your dronebay for any purpose, pvp or pve related. |

Flying a CNR here, post patch & have been doing missions since.
Cruise now sucks big time against the frigs, however, I had the foresight to have decent drone skills. T2 lights tear thru them quite easily, even the T2 frigates. |

I find that my T2 Hammerheads (medium drones) still tear through frigates quickly enough that I haven't noticed any slowdown.
Then again, the only time I ever target frigates in level 4s is either to sick my drones on em, or to aggro them by attempting to shoot them once. |

Also, never volley against npc's. Wastes ammo and allows their defenses (repping) work better.
Stagger you missiles and you will see a much better result. G15 keyboard is great for this. |

Well, stupidity knows no bounds I guess. You even said right at the start "never needed to train drone skills".. well there's your answer, now you do. No more jumping into Raven/CNR and easy-mode L1-L4 missioning, use the right ship/weapons/drones for the job - which incidentally is what non-Caldari have had to do even before the patch. |

TBH, I don't think that is an appropriate example as missiles aren't hit n miss type of weapons (like turrets). fishing with dynamite does not require you to peg the fish with dynamite to kill it. try renting a row boat/speedboat close in and circle battleship scream to the battleship on the radio "I am a frigate with a point orbiting you at 15+km, your ship's weapon systems can't hurt me, eject from your ship!" |

Getting scrammed by a frig that you can’t hit will happen even with medium sized turrets. I once got pinned down by two frigs in a level 3 flying a beam prophecy, and I had been stupid enough to let my hobs get popped. I had to get a nearby corpie to come to the rescue. As a turret user, that happened to me very early on in my Eve career. There are several ways to get around it. And anyone that doesn’t want to train drones is a) just being incredibly lazy and b) gimping their own setup. Good drone skills will only improve your DPS and general effectiveness. So wipe away those tears, and train the skills you need to fit your ship properly . |

Get in a Drake and use that instead. You will do it faster than your Raven (lolwut). Of course you'll still get the mental midgets in here whining that you're playing "easy mode" but **** them TBH.

The fact that Ravens have been able to ignore this was just a sign of how imbalanced large missiles were. Do what everyone else does: get some proper skills, fittings and tactics. Or die to puny frigates. Your choice. |

Ugh. Try taking a character with just 2 mil sp into a lvl4 mission with a gun battleship, see how well you do. Hint: you won't be complaining about just frigates  Someone with that low sps does not belong in a battleship yet. As evidenced by this thread. I'm so glad to see low-sp lvl4-soloing Raven chars finally get a well-deserved kick. Especially money-making alts. |

I found your problem; see bolded. So Cruise missiles are no longer I-WIN buttons for NPCing, damn. Welcome to other races, learn to skill your ****ing character to do more than just one damn thing; expecting just two skills to do everything for you is preposterous. It's great, TBH. Now people will actually need to train skills before they jump into a Raven or CNR and expect the ISK to roll in. Having SP before expecting to pwn Level 4s ftw. Learn to Drones V (it'll take you 4.5 days from Drones IV). Now you understand what all of the other races need to train. This coming from someone whose other account has a Caldari mission runner (in a Golem no less). |
