Well one of the main issues was that before stackless IO it was almost impossible for a fleet big enough to kill the titan and the titans support fleet to actually all get into system and engage. Now you can meaning titans cant be saved just by crashing the node

You're smart, and stuff. What a giant post, contributing a lot towards this topic of how stackless IO is affecting titan death rates, and how this could tie in with a plan by CCP to gain more revenue. Your ideas and theories are well documented and provide ample evidence to have a lengthy and well mannered discussion on.

I thinks its more to do with titans becoming more available, and more affordable, and inevitably people who are dumb are getting them (dungar, f4ze, that guy in the drone regions who doomsdayed all his own alliance labs inside his tower) which is resulting in their comedy deaths (f4ze, shrike)

i think it has to do with what the one decent titan death recently?that being sir molles first one in actual battle.

the last two have been meta bumped out of pos.legit kills in this day in eve?sure.though most were un prepared pilots being meta gamed out of pos using pw and bumping.not like it was omg uber combat that got them caught.
{for morons}(see below) its not like it was drag out pvp battles that held stable because of new servers.most recent titan deaths are from meta gaming.this is still legit in eve.but it had nothing to do with the new server structure being uber stable.

So when a NC titan dies coz of being compromised by a spy, it is a legit kill. But a GBC titan sleeping at a pos with a compromised password is meta-gaming. Is this what you wanna say?

Concern 1:
You ever tried bumping a titan out of a Large POS quick enough that he/she doesn't notice in time?

Concern 2:
Ever killed a Titan with just RR BS?

Concern 3:
Ever killed a Titan?

Concern 4:
What do people tell new players about EVE? You are never safe. Translates to me, that if you are logged in and not docked, you SHOULD be paying attention. Especially when flying tens of billions of ISK.

you sir make my look like edgar allan.surprised someone in rzr hasnt told you to stfu.

to the guy just above me.you still didnt add anything to the thread.they were legit kills i think i have said that 2 times now.get it.i doubt it.it still had NOTHING to do with the new stackless server upgrade.see that.reread what i wrote 20 times.it might help.having this new server upgrade did crap all to aid in those two titan kills.the op talked about titans dieing alot due to the upgrade.when in fact it had very little to do with it.get it yet smart one?

The server improvements might have contributed, but only because it is now possible to fight. The first time Shrike got into trouble during the Delve invasion, I was there. Had a DD-proof bs when he warped to the gate and hit us. We tried to jump out, to no real avail. I then jumped back in, locked Shrike and started shooting.

5 salvos later I had to issue warp out command because the 1-hour timer was getting close. Total time to jump out, jump in, lock, shoot and warp was over an hour of game time. Meanwhile, Shrike was motoring away from the gate with 13 Carriers repping him.

That kind of performance made him virtually unkillable. Now, we might actually get to shoot Titans. That's what is making the difference.

yes and that had to do tons with the amount of titans killed in that week span the op was talking about.right.no.2/3 of those titans were bumped out of sheilds and killed when server stability had little to do with it.just like the m-o situation that kept crashing time and time again.very little has changed in that regard.

True enough, 2 of the 3 were lost due to pos bumping. A lame tactic but one CCP has declared legal so the argument ends there. My point is that in the past jumping in so many ships to kill Titans caused such extreme lag or node crashes that they gained a level of invulnerability. That seems to have been lessened by the new hardware.

A standard fleet fit BS, traveling at or above 1kms hitting a titan will move the titan over 30km. A Nano Bs, traveling at over 2ks will move the titan over 100km. Ask any titan pilot.

edit: should mention that the only recourse a titan pilot has is to cyno out of system or cloak and pray or just pray. The bump mechanics at work with a titan are just wacky.

once the transfers between nodes goes smoothly, there'll be a lot more people joining in on titan kills. atm, most people get stuck jumping into such a system. even the regular gang of 50 ends up in traffic control at every organized jump.

TBFH Bumping mechanics are pretty ridiculous for all classes of ships.

A 6K Vagabond knocking Carriers off of undock points. Interceptors bumping any class ship at Very High speed without tacking some Form of Kinetic collision damage is pathetic.

We all do it. its one of the comical features in the game that has no concequence to the damage hitpoints accrued to a ship.

If i was to fly my A-10 and start bumping C-17's on final approach so I don't miss my T-Off times to land first... Well were both going to be a smoking hole in the ground.

But this isnt Science. It's convieniant internet Spaceships Pixels.

On one side, theirs a Group of people arguing for real world facts to support their arguements, and at the same time assuming a position of tactical usage by ignoring the same Real world physics they want in game.

Shouldnt beable to have it both ways.

A quick fix would be not to be able to bump a titan or any other capital ships. It's not like I don't think you can use any tactic that the game offers you, its just that it seams silly.

easy solution.

a bump gets the ship direct into structure dmg.

taranis against titan with 3000m/s = *plopp* the ranis, shield and armor stay @ 100%

ugh
