Not that it really matters of course, but with lewis hamilton being crowned the first black formula one champion and obama crowned the first black president, I was just wondering why a mixed race person (white and black parents) is being described as black?

There's only one race: Human. The discriminations we have are against ethnicity and skin color.

Obama is black.

If only our creator had made everybody the same color. Maybe it was a human IQ test. Will the humans start fighting about the color of their skin? If so, classify as morons and move on.

Maybe thats why Jesus hasnt returned? Wink

Liberals in the US try to create victim classes whenever they can, and then they need to pad the numbers of their victim classes.

Put Obama into the 1950's.

Looking the way he did, would he be able to walk into a "Whites only" restaurant?

Speaking of skin colour.

There is a Thai saying.

When god created mankind, he used dough. He baked his first batch but left them in the oven too long and produced the black man. He tried again but didn't leave then in the oven long enough and made the white man. On his final go he got is just right and produced the Thai people.

(Something along those lines)

Skin colour means sod all, unless it's green, then call a doctor :)

So when he made the 1st batch did he use to big a knife to make such big features as there nose etc? The second time around did he use the perfect knife , the third time around he thought a smaller knife would give him the perfect result which gave little tiny slit eyes.. Can you see were am goin with this ur logic is flawed.

My cousins (four of them) who are mixed race deem themselves black because they are not white.

Whether that's because they chose to or because of the society they live in (South London), I don't know.

Considering how 'tolerant' people are meant to be that people still make a fuss about 'the first black' whatever. Wow they are black, big freaking deal...

This.

Maybe not that exactly, but what that evolved into. It's used a lot for changing demographics to prove different arguements. Prison statistics are big one (ie: you want to prove black people make up a higher percentage of the prison population so you include anyone with any 'black', sometimes even spanish, background).

In reality 'black' is not even about skin color anymore outside of the stastical use. It's more about culture and behavior. Hence why the question came up months ago on whether Obama was truely 'black'. It wasn't about his skin tone, it was about his background and the way he behaved. For some people he wasn't 'black enough'.

Going off topic slightly it may interest some of you that being anything other than what we describe as "black" due to our ancestors moving to less sunny continents is actually a mutation rather an evolution change, therefore all people who are classed as white (me included) are actually living, breathing human mutations, it is not a humans evolutionary path to turn white.
