I'm wondering; Will our favorite faceless forum-goer have a faceless character in Ambulation? Personally, I hope so. I think it'd be hilarious to see Chaos walking down the hallway with two googly eyes on little black stalks poking out from under some floating hair. Like a cross between EvE and Spore. |

Ingame face has always been normal, as it is with us faceless types, so I am afraid I shall have to shatter your dreams of me scaring the everloving everything out of noobs in Jita It would be cool, though... |

If you were as friendly and as faceless as CI, you would be that popular too. |

Edited by: Captain Falcord on 31/10/2008 17:12:25 If devs are intelligent enough, he will.
They must understand the faceless phenomenom has created a legend similar to world of warcraft's "Leroy Jenkins" and many others. Taking Leroy as an example, Blizzard made merchandasing based on that myth (In the trading card game you can see Leroy, and for those who played Magic the Gathering, it's pretty much like a ball of lightning). They even invited the guy who played Leroy to a convention so he could shout his famous sentence in public.
CCP should make use of this stuff. Even if it takes a bit more to code the possibility to have a faceless character, they should give it to Chaos. Then everyone will see CCP has a connection with the community and their internal jokes.
This is also great material for future easter eggs. Just imagine that Vampire game CCP is coding: You could have a high end NPC called something similar to Chaos Incarnate... Without face. |

CCP needs to take away CI's in-game face, both for the avatar and ambulation. Then the joke will be completed. If they don't, I will cry, ragequit, play lame fantasy MMO's, and then resub 3-6 months later. |

I too vote, voice, support, Chaos Incarnate keeping her non-face.
And the biggest irony is that the name "Chaos Incarnate" is the fittest name for such a portrait I could ever think of. But of course the name was chosen much before the portrait render machine hiccup happened. Destiny sometimes is hilarious. |

Make Chaos Incarnate a card in Eve: Second Genesis. No idea what it'd do.
Also, a faceless NPC with a name based on that in WoD would be much lol. With a description of something like "Dude.. Its face" |

I'm just like the squirrel on miniature waterskis for those slow news days, really. Also, Chaos Incarnate t-shirts are now available for pre-order, 2b plus S&H. I don't have a design or even a plan to get one, but if my wallet sits a few billion higher tomorrow, I might draw one up and/or spend all your money on exotic dancers and pimped faction ships |

But isn't ISK -> Real Life merchandise against the EULA? Regardless, I support the Faceless One in Ambulation/Portrait |

Actually, I don't think it is. I remember someone bringing this up some time back, and I'm fairly certain that you ARE allowed to sell RL merchandise for ISK. Although I don't remember the details as far as the requirements for trade, etc, but I seem to remember someone wanting to do web design for corps for ISK, and a Dev coming into the thread and saying it was allowed. Regardless, I still say that Chaos Incarnate should be faceless on the forums, faceless in the game, FACELESS FOREVER! (and seriously, if you are going to fanfest Chaos, consider the black balaclava bit. it'd be good for a laugh and some hilarious fanfest pics!) |

that one was actually skyflyer afaik... :) On the topic of ccp putting this ingame - they shouldnt. They have already acted on this by reinstating the forum bug for CI, which was cool like the WoW story above in an adult fashion (the geezer shouting his famous scream on a convention in public? anyone else getting the kindergarten idea of wow strengthened by that thought?). To see CI walking around some place with just eyeballs would be a terrrible immersion breaker ingame, and apart from the relatively small percentage of players that frequent the forum, nobody would be the wiser. |
