Many of you have been wondering about EVE TV and Fanfest. Good news! EVE TV will once again be on the prowl, filming main lectures, keynote speeches, and yes, even the PvP tournament. After using the search function in Firefox I did find the word "live" Question is if they mean live as in "we will be sending it live" or live as in "we will actually bother to send a guy there with a camera instead of reading the results and doing some guesses about the fight" |

A week or two is us being safe without getting people's hopes up  . We'll be working as fast as we can so hopefully it should only be a matter of days. As some have spotted no we won't be broadcasting live, while thats good fun for a few people committed enough to watch all day we're going to concentrate on filming everything we can in high quality for people to download and watch as they like. We are however working together with Vivox to make a live audio feed of the key lectures on the Saturday available via Eve Voice. More on that Soon™.

yeah, i mean i dont remember watching it live last year but the speeches and presentations were up there same/next day :( (electronic attack ships presentation bit was epic) |

I can only agree to that. In fact, after thinking a bit about it I find this announcement rather crap. The original EVE TV was a great idea, this is not even second class. With a live broadcast you could at least feel a bit like being there, and you would know all announcements (that we are all waiting for) at the same time as people participating. Now the announcements have to go through other players while the videos get delayed... Ever thought about why television channels do live broadcasts at all or why people have live webcam streaming on the Internet? Buh to industry standards. |

What format will download be available in? I'm thinking, for example, will I just be able to tell iTunes to download it and then it sync to my iPhone? Or will I need to jump through hoops with handbrake to convert from some other random format?
Or will it be locked into an app that prevents conversion?
