I am currently training up all weapon support skills for guns and missiles.

the Hookbil has a shield boost bonus, the worm has a bit better dps if u fit it right i think. |

Even with gate restrictions, there is nothing a worm can do, that a merlin cant do with a similar degree of effectiveness. Faction frigs are purely for epeen, bar from the hookbills hp tank. And thats of no value to you, as even when fitted for dps...well - HA!

Well its quite simple in terms of reason why... I'm getting bored looking at the Merlin! The plex thing suits my playin style at the moment, I'm logging on for very short periods, but quite often. My skills are predominantly tank based, and am working up gankability, I also fancy a nice ship, I dont really wanna train Frigate V, or indeed assault ships, but still enjoy the fast and furious action that the plex has to offer  I also would like to invest some time in both guns and missile skills, which I guess leads me to ye olde Hookbill... I guess? |

If you have mostly tank, but not very much gank I'd actually suggest getting amarr frig + small energy turret for the succubus. You'll notice how incredibly superior it is compared to other faction frigs.
I don't think it takes more than a day for you to train up so you can use the succubus.
/e: oh and you won't regret having amarr skills once amarr becomes fotm. |

hookbill tank > any other frigate. Even most AFs. So no, Succubus isnt better at tanking. Nor was it on the list  |

Worm, no doubt - 700m/s in deadspace for as long as you like, full damage out to over 50km - can clean out plex rooms with rats not even getting into attack range.

get a succubus, it blows the other frigs to crap :P way over 200dps at 10km+ and yber tracking and cap.. 4 mids! pg and cpu to fit allmost anything... |
