Trying to figure out why someone would set up mobile labs / advanced labs at a pos in a .5 system with no station.
Can you still use them for research? |

Yes. You just have to keep the blueprints at the POS inside of the labs. |

This makes very little sense to me :/ If someone logs on every day, online battle mods, take down labs... I guess that makes it easy to catch the hauler on the other side of the gate. Nevermind. *facepalm* Just woke up  |

Yes, it does advertise that you keep BPOs in there though, if you don't login every day without fail, someone can wardec your corp and have it in reinforced fairly quickly, at which point you can't get your BPOs out. |

Unfortuinately, all bpos have a carebear self destruct. So anything inside labs gets burned up when you unanchor to scoop. Maybe this was changed, but ccp is lazy so who knows. Good isk in taking down offline towers. I think most systems have at least one. afk geddon ftw! |

If you are attacking a POS and kill it, if you unanchor the lab then, you will lose the contents, if you kill the lab instead of un-anchoring it you will lose the lab, but possibly gain any BPOs as loot. If you try and unanchor a lab attached to a tower that has anything in it (which you can only do while the tower is online and not in reinforced) It won't let you ;) |

Unless this was changed last patch you can unanchor labs with BPOs inside them once the control tower is popped and repackage the lab which you then get the BPOs out of it.
We've done it but we didn't repackage we set a contract and the BPOs were removed from the lab when the contract is made. I've since been told that repackaging the lab has the same effect.

I stand corrected, if you look over my past thousands of posts you'll likely find that this is the only occasion I've been accurately corrected. So the attitude is not needed. None of the labs I've repackaged have ever spat out BPOs when taken from POS's in station less systems. I figured they must have just been used for invention, or they were destroyed when repackaged. |

I heard from people that have been in POS popping for longer than me that there were 3 periods, one during which repackaging gave you BPOs, one during it didn't, and the current golden age. IIRC the first BPO I got from a lab was in march, but no way to know if the labs I repackaged before had any in them... Since then had regular drops, including capital BPOs  |
