This ship is so overpowered compared to other coverts is stuiped.
I mean if you train to lv5 your drone does the damage of 2 i mean a frig with 2 drones its totally unbalanced i think they should change the bouns to something more fair.
To thoses who do not know the ship this is bounses
Gallente Frigate Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Small Hybrid Turret damage and 10% bonus to Scout Drone Thermal damage per level
and it has 5mb drone bandwidth and 5m2 drone bay crazy huh
Is it just me or did they change the orignal one to the imicus hull cos imicus is ugly while maulus is pretty

I'm glad it was sarcasm - for a second I thought you were really serious  P.S.: Never used that ship in combat, except once to save a corpmate from an interceptor. The hobgoblin II set on that guy was more an annoyance, the tracking disruptor proved to be much more useful... |

Giving a ship with a dronebonus less than 5 drones is stupid tbh...although yeah we are talking about a covert ops here lol. |

The same ship have a gun bonus and no room to fit it (cloak, probe launcher, no more highslot). I'd rather have it also inherit the drone range bonus of the Imicus. |

Who the heck uses cov-ops for actual GBH combat?
Just give it better bonus to suit its needs (speed while cloaked).
and give it a 3rd high slot, so you can fit a salvager in there.
If you must nurf it to get the above effects, then remove a few mid slots. |

Oddly enough, I prefer to keep my CovOps alt off of killmails so he's not quite so easy to identify. |

I don't have nearly a hundred kills in mine, but I would venture more than the average helios pilot. And I actually mean assisting in the kill, not probing and putting a drone on it for the KM and lulz. No one expects a helios to decloak and put a point on you while speeding around you like a slightly slower interceptor. Gotta say my best helios kill was a mining Rokh, kept him scrammed in the belt for nearly 10 minutes while my help scrambled to get to me. Popped his drones and did like 2k+ of dmg while I waited :) |

I actually killed a polycarbon rigged Helios trying to do it to me and warped off before his main (or friend, w/e) actually landed on grid Stuck around on purpose, too, since I knew I was getting probed out and could've insta-warped off to station, but killing a Helios and then docking is just more fun. |

Most of mine were before the damp nerf. Triple phased muons with damp rigs. I didn't decloak until someone else scored point/web. I've lost 3 helios fit that way.. one to a sniper baddon, one to a stealth bomber, and one to a Lachesis that I played games with for 10 minutes. Damps suck too bad to fit on Arazus now though... so i don't have my Dampios fit up anymore. ;-) -Liang |
