So.. We got new rules that limits players in system and we know that human beings are fair and stuff so in game like EVE we will make sure that 100 people from side X and 100 from side Y will jump same time and even the teams.. .. yeah right. Time to make EVE version of this classic |

I'm posting in another thread about this because I'm not, like, a good role model. Also, because this is not a permanent solution, according to CCP.
But maybe they'll just kick EVERYONE out of an overpopulated server, so that no one can exploit the idea of "if we jump a bajillion people into this system we can kill all of the Goon/BoB/etc POSs with impunity." |

Jeeze man. I know you like to troll but it was made abundantly clear this is only a very temporary solution and will get replaced with a proper fix asap. Will some large alliance pull off a system player cap defence/offence before its removed? Probably. Will 95% of Eve care? Probably not.  |

So if someone logs in and jumps in system with 10 alts, he wins battle ??

There are still a crapload of people in Jita, more than would be in a fleet fight.
The problem for fleet fights are drones, fighters and missiles. |

My guess is that the limit varies from system to system. It may even be that a single system's limit will vary in time. |

Doesn't that statement revolve around how long temporary actually is ? Currently it seems like there is no specific number cap and systems have capped out at various levels (server determined). For as long as this new system is in place then you could go around in a big fleet deliberatly trying to cap out systems. As long as this mechanic is currently in place then server limit will be a huge factor in fleet battles. I also wonder how CCP have limited the cynoing for a system. If you can get just 1 player into the system and he/she pops a cyno can capitals cyno in or will they get a popup message about the system ? If you loose your ship/pos due to being unable to get into/out of a system will you be entitled to a reimbersment ? previously you were allowed and normally successfull if you tried to jump out a system to avoid being shot but died due to not getting in and being stuck. With War being a constant in EVE then CCP should have come up with a different approach. |

Read todays Patch notes this is now effectively a DEAD Issue as the limits have been removed for everywhere except Jita which may be removed as well.
