I think astroid belts should recharge faster, at least those in 0.0 beacuse they get depleeted so fast, and takes weeks to regenerate properly. comparison to rats, compexes (which earns u easy 200mill-2bill for 1-2hour work) or ratting which earns u 50-100mill a hour easy, or missions which also have instant regeneration rate.
You just start on continue, but if u mine you gonna have to wait hours / days until the astroid belts are normal, and don't give me **** that you earn more on mining than on complex running or ratting, beacuse if your in a alliance with lots of people mining u maybe lucky to run off with 200mill a day on it. if ur lucky this should be fixed ! |

Whilst I can't comment directly on 0.0 as I've only ratted there, never mined, asteroids across the game respawn daily and their size is based on the amount they have been mined (I suspect the OP knows this, just making it clear for readers).
The usual argument applied in empire is that you're mining in a popular place; find a quieter one. In 0.0 it's harder; perhaps you should view this as an incentive to go take someone else's space and mine there?
If we're arguing about ISK/hour, then the entire notion of balance gets blown out of the water by complicated dynamics like alliance fleet defense, intel channels, number of people mining, number of people ratting, and so on.
It is not as simple as saying 'that person doing that activity makes X ISK, I should too'. Alliances fight over complexes (given the chance), and they probably should over mineral resources too. Equally they try and defend their miners and ratters, to the extent that people complain about AFK cloakers affecting that. Add to that the different sources of minerals and a free market, and it's extremely difficult to simply say 'ok, increase asteroid yield' and be sure what outcome you'll actually get. |

About 2ish years ago belts respawned daily, even in busily mined system you'ld always find something to mine, then for no apparent reason (al be it ccp said it was to stop macro mining) they decreased respawn rate from every day to 2 times a week. perhaps they should reconsider this action?

i believe so, since all its doing si letting the macros pick them clean and leave the rest of us with veldspar. even in the somewhat deserted system i mine in, its only worth mining Tuesdays and Fridays after DT. by the next day, all the omber and plag is gone. |

Very true you all 3 have good answers, but what im more looking for is 0.0 respawnment, like one of u say they respawn 2times a week, I think its about 3-4, but hey they properly made it a little random, but yeah I understand if they nerfed to couple of times a week to limit macros. But thats for highsec, which is safe for a macroer to be. but When im meaning examply 0.0 astroid belts which is kinda stupid to try to macro, it would be a little smarter to make a bit more of the astroid belts, to make it worth fighting over. beacuse as it is, we fight now for
1, station systems 2, good moon systems 3, good ratting systems (kinda mining included) 4, CAOD posts
But comparison having couple of guys mining billions right, comparison to loads of guys ratting ofcourse a alliance will go mainly for the ratting income of the average pilot beacuse they need every member to earn enough isk to participate in combat operations of the alliance millitary.
Just that I think it could be a bit better, beacuse some alliances today actually see how much more isk you can earn on mining than ratting, but as normal when theres more ratters then spawns / more miners than astroids, and to kinda try to attarct mining to the average Joe. that they can make it so that you dont strip system in couple of hours. |

i can see what your saying but i dont think the belts in null , low , high sec are seperated in the respawn code so it would probably be easier for the devs to change it all to respawn daily then to rewrite the code to see all 3 as diffrent places |
