I attempted to look in the commonly posted requests thread. That thread is locked, so I am sorry if this has already been suggested.
When a pilot buys something through a contract the pilot is warned that "said" station is privately owned and to make sure you have docking rights, etc..
Can this same feature be added to the Market? When a pilot attempts to buy something from the market in 0.0 the pilot is not given any warning that he/she may need to get permission to dock. Why?
Obviously I am new and have just recently joined 0.0 space. I wasted several Million Isk on items I now can not pick up. I already have been told about attempting to try and contract them and see if I can get my Isk back that way. I also attempted to contact the station owner. I was ignored.
I believe allot of new pilots who will start to move to this game now that other more popular MMO's are getting close to the burn out rate. I think if certain aspects of this game were made easier more pilots would join. However, things like this, not being able to receive what you rightfully paid for makes for allot of frustration and will drive away business.
I know the dynamics of this game are to make it somewhat hard. But does everything have to be such a guessing game? Like, "Can I buy that"...for fear or what happened to me.
Thank you.

just so you know, this is the kind of thing you dont post because you will end up with a thread full of responses along the lines if "sucks to be you".
seriously dude, its 0.0. buy the stuff from your corp, by buying it from the market, you are quite possibly financing your enemies. |

Exactly. You should know what you are buying, how much it costs, and where it is (with whomever owns it being sometimes vital info).
And I'm sure that spontaneous facial bleeding would ensue if this popped up EVERY SINGLE TIME people wanted to buy something.

How about it popping up if it is not owned by your corp/alliance? |

That is what I was getting at. Thank you. As far as financing my enemies? That may be true as well, but I am talking about this from a "New Pilot" in 0.0 perspective. It would seem if your corp does not have what you need you must find it anywhere you can. I understand the feedback I may receive. Hopefully one from CCP explaining why the warning shows with contracts and not with market transactions. Thanx. |

Actually, there is another issue here that is more basic than this that needs to be addressed.
We can't see who the seller or buyer is. If we saw their name or better yet we could filter all unfriendlies to red, then you would be able to not fill enemy orders OR buy from them/hostile stations.
Better yet would be an option to block certain sellers. Say, if there is one guy who you want to not sell to - but you want to sell to other buyers who have a slightly lower offer. |

if your corp is in 0.0 without all the BPO's for all the basic modules, ammo and ship, you and your corp shouldn't be out in 0.0 yet. |

2 things
1. market should remain open, you shouldn't know who your buying from till after the deal is done. Would turn market war into a true war of grieving and exclusion of small guys.
2. Just advice but if you are buying stuff remotely go into map view so you can plot path better and if you are getting multiple things you can see ways to get 2 items on 1 trip etc. |

Just get your intel straight, then you'll know which systems and stations not to buy from. 0.0 does definitely not need any hand-holding mechanics whatsoever. Go to highsec when you need those.
Accidentally buying from a hostile station is quite the same fail as accidentally jumping into a hostile system.... |

Not stupid. Just a new player. Get over yourself and do not troll up my thread please. Thanx everyone else for the ideas and feedback. I will look into the function of the map more. Anyway, it is just an idea. I like the thought of being able to block certain sellers. Good one. TY. --DARK |
