Well some of you from the UK may know the anti-piracy advert, 'Knock off Nigel'. Here it is for those who haven't seen it yet / recently. Well anyway, I just stumbled upon this, which I thought was brilliant and worth sharing with the EVE community. Tell me what you think of it I personally think this was the best bit "My step dad [has] bought knock off DVDs and he would never rob his own gran, shes dead." |

Why buy them when they're available for free on torrent networks anyways.  Another stupid ad. The only funny one I liked very much was the parody of the anti-piracy movie in IT Crowd. Linkage |

I was trying to get that from youtube to do some malicious editing  It makes me laugh that the youtube video downloader is a shareware program. OK, so now the software to pirate the videos from youtube is a commercial program  What next, a commercial account hacking program? |

I find the Knock off Nigel ads quite annoying, but that second link is just such a funny vid hes so true in what he says and takes it so seriously. This is the only anti-piracy vid which is any good imo. |

What's been annoying me recently is that I've had my legal DVD and cinema viewings interrupted with these ads.
Erm, hang on a second, I'm watching a PAID FOR DVD and you've made it so I can't skip it, or I've PAID to go into the cinema and I can't skip it!
... but the pirates will just chop that bit out, so the pirates are actually making the end result BETTER for the viewer.

That's basically how all DRM/Anti-Piracy stuff works, punish those who pay for it with stuff that doesn't work, detracts from the experience, or has a limited number of uses while the pirates chop all that **** out and enjoy the stuff they downloaded. Trouble is, big business can't see that. They seem to think that if they annoy their honest paying customers enough piracy will decrease... |

Maybe Knock it off Nigel will be a bit more realistic. I just had to be done. Sorry about the small size, that's Adobe Premier's doing. Timing isn't too bad, especially at the end as he scruffs the guys hair  |
