Thats not funny enough for a "hahahaha". Maybe a "haha" or a "heh". Please try harder next time. You are a Goon, you are supposed to have standards. |

Just because we pay them in candy doesn't make them slaves. We offered them ISK but 5 year olds are stupid. |

Tbh a fairly good interpretation. However, another thing to count in is that they were fighting bob, who could easily make them look like crap, and they're now fighting smashkill, which isn't exactly a lean mean fighting machine |

A little Gem I saved, I usually toss chat logs, but this was worth saving. Quote: <Goon in raven ratting> I wish I had enough isk to use my pvp character.

I may get in trouble for saying this, but my corp, Merch Industrial was approached by goonswarm a year ago to build a strong industrial center for the swarm. That we have done and now supply the majority of minerals and pos fuel for the goons. The agreement has been lucrative for us both and we now do invention on a corporate scale, often able to undercut Jita prices with our easy access to moon minerals. We've had to increase our production quite a bit as goon characters have aged. The amount of war materials and raw minerals that we move to front line bases is staggering. Despite what others may tell you, many killmails are not posted and many goon ships have to be replaced daily.
Much of what Re Mi says is correct and I'm very surprised that he was able to get such accurate data. |

I don't know what you mean by that. it was real in the sense that they tried to rent out space, but it turns out goons get along quite poorly with others. What you don't know is that many of those FDZ corps were extensions of the GIA, with agents in influential positions. Some were even created by the GIA. The point was to implode the corps eventually and steal everything they could. This worked remarkably well. Notice how many of those corps still exist. The only problem was that the plan couldn't go on long enough.

I thought the point was also to get people into other alliances space and set up relationships which could be exploited later. |

no it was a sort of meta-farming. Diplomatic contacts were more traditional. There is a lot of sweet talking, promises, and outright threats though. I'm not privy to that though. you have to remember that a lot of this is behind closed doors. Goons hate a long list of blues and hate dealing with 'pubbies' a lot more. There are really 2 classes of goons, those who decide what happens and those that follow. Many goons get tired of this ignorance, and eventually leave for PL, RA, and other various alliances. it is ironic how many of our allies end up with disaffected goons. Goons only really enjoy playing with goons however, so I guess its not a total surprise. Thats why there are constant newbie drives, to constantly replace the low class goons. |

I could see that 6 months ago, but I think GS is retaining more high end players who are pure pvpers who would have gone elsewhere, and also that some people are coming back into GS to be pvpers. I don't have access to your FC's, but it seems to me you have made some quality improvements, especially in planning ops and the kinds of ships you bring and how they are used. I also think they are what is giving your force their backbone and leadership below FC level. All of this matches with the spike in alliance size. The ops against Smashkill/Atlas look like on the job training in some ways as well. There is no denying it, GS fleet ops have improved. I am dealing with an incomplete picture as to why, but the results speak for themselves. |

Any Alliance with more than 1,000 members and holding space will have those "slave" "5-year olds" or what ever you want to call them to run the day to day ops to keep the whole system in-place.
With Pvp alliances they would need almost 2/1 ratio of bears to fighters to keep the towers up and ships ready to be popped. |
