While sitting and waiting to take over the bunker in FW (teh timer), I think that a requirement should be that you put in marines into the bunker. This way the marines would actually do something instead of just filling up corp hangers across empire.

The way to stop the timer for the opposing militia should be to inject its own marines.

Nice idea, I like that.

And as countermeasure the defender can deploy Exotic Dancers - each unit EDs cancels one unit of Marines Very Happy

But seriously, only shooting the crap out of the bunker is boring, so doing anything else likee
putting marines into it is a neat touch. It does not matter much though, it's simply a click and drag thing.

Well you still need to bring them to "click and drag" Very Happy

And if we could have marines from every faction it would be very neat.

These could be drops from the new FW missions and/or in the current missions.

Using the militia isn't going to be any fun under the current mechanics. There's no system to deal with what happens with competing militias in an outpost.

There'd need to be some kind of module, with associated skills, to stop everyone from filling their hold with militia and just spamming the outpost.

Something like that would be good replacement for the hp based system on the final outposts. Needing dedicated troop transports, with support fleets, would be pretty cool.

Hey, I like it! CCP could introduce some 'mini profession' ships.

Like, an assault shuttle or something that can interface with the bunker and deliver marines.

Make it a good salvaging ship too and we're golden@!

After you put the marines in the bunker, you require more vespene gas and need more minerals to obtain Firebats. Dont forget to build a Cov-Ops science facility for the Ghosts to.

marines just die and run away to nuke the site from orbit because it's the only way to be sure .

I must agree. This is an awesome idea.

Can I add one small twist? Have the marines defend the bunker. Obviously - not very long but that would cool.

While we're at it lets put some Firebats in there, too. That way if you get Zergling rushed you stand a chance...

I like the idea a making a bigger role for the AF (meh likes my AF's very much). The problem here is that not everybody is trained in the use of one. So if Bording Parties was implemented it needs to be in a way where most ship can do it, but AF do it much better. Maybe something about the AF being able to give the boarding troops support fire.

Well helicopters have a crew of 2 and they carry marines Wink. But if a large number of marines were to be put into the bunker maybe a blockade runner or something similar is needed.
